After installing the firmware update to 071.004, my E72 terminates my calls by itself, quite often does NOT allow me to access all the contacts stored, very often loses signal (in places where it used to work just fine) etc.Is there any other way to get back to the "old" firmware version? How can I do that?

It hangs and i have to long press the powe button to shut it down and restarts and then when it comes on.it hangs within the next 30 seconds and this process continues into a routine... I tried softformatting it and it doesnt hang anymore but a new problem is generated... It pratically keeps screaming system error...i can't do much with the phone. I dont know which condition is better anymore,the phone's previous state or its new state...

While on the call, the recipients, signals was low and it its loss the connectivity, my phone gets stuck for 2,3 min with disconnect icon. When the icon is gone, I'm not able to make any call till I reset the unit. Also when I select the phone in to offline mode. The phone restart automatically. I did hard reset and .Etc. Still the problem there.

My old E70 is best in that case.This fu... device hangs up always after date change to 1 year past. I do that to install application which has certificate expired .After reset (8 secs. power btn. press) situation is still persist - hangs on pulpit and no reaction for any button but power (8 sec. reset).

Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. I have tried the hard & soft reset but the problem still remains the same. The firmware that i am using is 054.005 / make - Malaysia.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 410.21.010, my E71 occasionally shows a "Insert SIM card" message.This is rather odd, as it's not feasible to do so (the battery blocks the slot), and the SIM hasn't had any trouble before. Worse still, when this occurs the phone becomes entirely useless - not only can I not access running apps (and the model doesn't require a SIM for that), I can't even turn it off!Upon removal of the battery to forcibly restart the phone, it starts just fine, SIM and all - so the card isn't poorly seated or anything like that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E7-00 hangs every time I try to open Application Manager to uninstall applications - it says "scanning memory" and hangs there. Only way to come out of it is to hard reboot the phone. I tried reinstalling the device software from PC Ovi Suite and even though the reinstall completed successfully, it still hangs just the same as before. As a result, I am unable to uninstall ANY applications?

Often when dialing a number (or just entering the digit) that starts with a "1", the phone will freeze, sometimes only recoverable by removing the battery. If you start with any other digit, there is no issue at all.
Ever since the Anna update, The E7 freezes when the "other caller" hangs up. This was some time ago addressed in the FAQs "to be resolved with the next update". Well, the update is installed, it still freezes, and the FAQ has disappeared.

I got i going again by shutting it down, but now that has stopped working as well. Few time when somebody has called me it has dropped the call at the first second saying "connection problem".
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo couple days ago someone tried calling me but apparently got the "the person you are calling is not available, please try again" later blah blah blah which usually comes on when the mobile is switched off i suppose, but at the time of the calls my phone was at full reception bar! I tried calling my phone and confirms that it wasn't able to receive calls but i can make calls though. Is this a known E72 bug or something?? I read a couple people got that problem on E72 and other E series like E55 or something. I'm really worried about missing important phone calls because of this.

She was alone in the apartment both days and her phone was with her. I checked her call log (N95 8GB) and there were no calls made. I'm running 54.005 and Adv Communication Manager, whitelist only Don't know if this is relevant... sometimes my phone stops recognizing numbers that are in Contacts. It's done that with my wife's and daughter's numbers, then it went back to recognizing them with no action from me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot make or receive calls and messages on my nokia e52 sometimes. When trying to make a call it shows a small lock in locked position near the green phone symbol. I then restart the phone and it works fine. It only occurs rarely like once in a week or two and you wont know unless you try to make a call or some one calls your land phone and tells that the mobile is switched off. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using the same phone provider for the last 10 years with NOKIA 8250, Sony Ericson K550 and now E72. I typically have problem making outgoing calls where when I dial a number, there are no sound ( no dial tone, no voice mail, no busy tone, no sound whatsoever), so I figure the call never reached the telecom provider and just redial. It happens like 2-3 times a week for the last 10 years. I put up with it.
Right now, ever since I chnaged to Nokia E72, my provider has been billing me for all these unconnected calls. I filed three official complaints wiht my provider, they responded by resetting my account and refunding my charges. Right now they say they are totally convinced that the problem lies with my Nokia E72 and not their fault. I doubt anything going to turn up if I sent my phone for service to do diagnostics as the unconnected call occurs randomly.
Is there any setting in the phone that can cause such problem, because my provider says thay have record showing that the call was connected, and the other party had answered. My speaker does not making any sound, and graphics on the LCD also showing no status from phone provider during this occurence.
I believe I am going to be stuck in a limbo where Nokia care centre is going to blame phone provider and the phone provider is going to blame my phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI got the black version bought in the end of May 2010, and got it repaired recently because of cracked speaker. The repair company also upgraded the firmware from 034.001 to 051.018 (the new firmware 051.018 crash a lot more often specially with music player or if you want to see pictures/movies).
Anyway, In relationship with the repair I also noticed that I could not receive or make any calls. If I try to make a call its all silent the signal strength says its great connection though with the full bars. And if someone tries to call me they hear the default: "the subscriber can not be reached now, please leave a number and end with #".
And if I restart the mobile the phone works as normal again, I can make calls and receive calls. Also SMS will be received now. This happened both with firmware 034.001 and 051.018. I am using 3G net with operator Tango mini/comviq in Sweden (and they dont have any problems with the net, also the restart would suggest the same thing). I would think this is related to too long uptime or the frequent soft reboots/crashes.
Video call program like skype working on the E7 ? in the making or not anytime soon ?
