3 months after purchase of our E5 it starts to act strange. No issues when using the phone, except one.
Often when dialing a number (or just entering the digit) that starts with a "1", the phone will freeze, sometimes only recoverable by removing the battery. If you start with any other digit, there is no issue at all.
from a while there is an update for ovi store and i installed it and since then the ovi store is not starting , it stops on the loading screen and nothing happen next
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had this phone since December 2009. There have been no problems of this occuring until today; my phone just turned off suddenly and will not turn on again. I would press and hold the power button as if to turn it on, it would vibrate and the center light would light up as it always does, but it just stays stuck on a white screen and will not go any further than that.

It hangs and i have to long press the powe button to shut it down and restarts and then when it comes on.it hangs within the next 30 seconds and this process continues into a routine... I tried softformatting it and it doesnt hang anymore but a new problem is generated... It pratically keeps screaming system error...i can't do much with the phone. I dont know which condition is better anymore,the phone's previous state or its new state...

I had no other option but to remove the cable and now the screen is black and it vibrates on starting but nothing shows up on the screen.

While on the call, the recipients, signals was low and it its loss the connectivity, my phone gets stuck for 2,3 min with disconnect icon. When the icon is gone, I'm not able to make any call till I reset the unit. Also when I select the phone in to offline mode. The phone restart automatically. I did hard reset and .Etc. Still the problem there.

Initially the phone used to abruptly hang and would require the battery to be taken out & reinserted to start the phone. After the Firmware update the problem got reduced but now the phone hangs and automatically restarts. This is quite frequent & very irritating. View 6 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 410.21.010, my E71 occasionally shows a "Insert SIM card" message.This is rather odd, as it's not feasible to do so (the battery blocks the slot), and the SIM hasn't had any trouble before. Worse still, when this occurs the phone becomes entirely useless - not only can I not access running apps (and the model doesn't require a SIM for that), I can't even turn it off!Upon removal of the battery to forcibly restart the phone, it starts just fine, SIM and all - so the card isn't poorly seated or anything like that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E7-00 hangs every time I try to open Application Manager to uninstall applications - it says "scanning memory" and hangs there. Only way to come out of it is to hard reboot the phone. I tried reinstalling the device software from PC Ovi Suite and even though the reinstall completed successfully, it still hangs just the same as before. As a result, I am unable to uninstall ANY applications?

View 11 Replies View Relatedwhen i receive an sms it only shows the number that send it, but that number is in my contactlist. I would expect that it would show the contact name. All sms message so far show only the number, except from 1 person. But i cannot figure out why it is not matching up the rest. I tried different phonenumber possibilities to put in the contact: I tried: erasing the contact, and add it via the sms menu option(add to contacts) erasing all sim contact to have no duplicates. upgrading to the latest firmware version. rebooting the phone,remove battery,add batterij, restart but nothing seem to fix the issue. Another symptom is that when sending an sms to a person it shows the contact list name in the sent items, but when that person replies the inbox shows again only the number.

In disbelief, I've let the phone restart, made sure no programs were open, and that the phone had finished starting up before going to 'call' and pressing numbers. ANY number, from 1 to 0, gives that restart.I've tried a restoring to factory settings. No joy. I'm reluctant to do a complete hard reset as I have a fair amount of data on the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an 8 month old Nokia E7 in good condition however just this afternoon when ever I recieve or send a text message instaed of showing what I have written on screen OR what the reply message reads it shows a number instead along with the time i.e. 8: 17.45 I have deleted all messages in the sent items and inbox as wondered if it was because i had a few in there, I also rebooted the ph 3 times, removed and replaced sim card each time but the same thing keeps happening.Have sent my phone messages from 3 other numbers just to make sure it wasnt 1 number causing it and all come up with the same thing.
