Jun 16, 2011when somebody calls me, phone shows who is calling and everything that it should show ,but when i answer it moves callers name, picture, time and everything that goes with call and it shows on the top of the screen that i have active call but i can not see anything about that call unless i press menu button for multitasking and than change to phone. i had three e71's but i never had this problem. i tried with removing active desktop

Mar 10, 2011Having problems with the E7 caller ID? Randomly the phone doesn't show the callers name, even if he/she is listed on my phonebook. This is not related to duplicate entries, because it works right after phone restart, but fails randomly. The SMS list is also affected, but not all the time. Few times a have seen a call come in and not show the name of the caller. After I have missed that call, I'll go to the missed calls list and there is the name of the caller?!

Apr 6, 2011My E7 sometimes does simply nothing when someone is trying to call me. Doesn´t ring or vibrate or anything. Not even the display changes or shows a missed call after.
I called my phone with another phone and got the normal call connected signal. Outgoing calls are possible but when dialing some numbers it shows a "not allowed" error message...After a restart it works fine again.
Software version is 014.002

Jun 23, 2010when i receive an sms it only shows the number that send it, but that number is in my contactlist. I would expect that it would show the contact name. All sms message so far show only the number, except from 1 person. But i cannot figure out why it is not matching up the rest. I tried different phonenumber possibilities to put in the contact: I tried: erasing the contact, and add it via the sms menu option(add to contacts) erasing all sim contact to have no duplicates. upgrading to the latest firmware version. rebooting the phone,remove battery,add batterij, restart but nothing seem to fix the issue. Another symptom is that when sending an sms to a person it shows the contact list name in the sent items, but when that person replies the inbox shows again only the number.

Aug 25, 2011Whenever we go to the dialling screen, pressing ANY number on the onscreen number pad results in the phone restarting. In disbelief, I've let the phone restart, made sure no programs were open, and that the phone had finished starting up before going to 'call' and pressing numbers. ANY number, from 1 to 0, gives that restart.I've tried a restoring to factory settings. No joy. I'm reluctant to do a complete hard reset as I have a fair amount of data on the phone.

Nov 27, 2012Have set up e-mail access on my E72-1 (updated with the latest Sofware and e-mail program) again after trying different methods to correct various imperfections). And now register that the e-mail program simply cuts sentences and words in e-mails I send from my PC. Sometimes the text is not displayed at all.
I send email from Thunderbird (v.17.0, released: November 20, 2012). And I've tried different settings for the format I send e-mails without success. When I send from a hotmail account or gmail account from the internet, there are no problems.

Jul 28, 2010I borrowed a friend's E52 for a while and transferred my contacts, and it was great to have the option to simply click on Show in maps to navigate to their door. But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?

So, I do not know who's calling me... it just say: Joe. But I have in my adrees book a Joe from Vodafone, a Joe from P&G and some other Joe's. On my old phone, when someone rang me, showed eg. Joe from Vodafone.

Aug 23, 2011after I updated my Nokia E6 to the recent software, it doesnt show the callers names when receiving a call and when receiving an sms. I have to save the same number twice, once with international prefix example +963 (thats for my home country) and once without. When receiving calls it show the name only if saved without the prefix (unless its an international call) and when receiving sms it shows the name only when its saved with the international prefix. I didnt have that problem before the update!

Sep 5, 2012I have an 8 month old Nokia E7 in good condition however just this afternoon when ever I recieve or send a text message instaed of showing what I have written on screen OR what the reply message reads it shows a number instead along with the time i.e. 8: 17.45 I have deleted all messages in the sent items and inbox as wondered if it was because i had a few in there, I also rebooted the ph 3 times, removed and replaced sim card each time but the same thing keeps happening.Have sent my phone messages from 3 other numbers just to make sure it wasnt 1 number causing it and all come up with the same thing.

Feb 18, 20113 months after purchase of our E5 it starts to act strange. No issues when using the phone, except one.
Often when dialing a number (or just entering the digit) that starts with a "1", the phone will freeze, sometimes only recoverable by removing the battery. If you start with any other digit, there is no issue at all.

Jun 30, 2010I have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house.
When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.
