I've had my Torch for about a month now. I have noticed that it hangs up alot to where a little black clock with white hands comes on alot and makes it slow. Why is this? I supposedly traded up from a Bold 9700 to this model but now I think it was a mistake?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed
Since 5.1 during calls my screen goes black, and does not wake up until the other person hangs up.
It's like it thinks I have it up to my ear, but I don't. So I can't hang up, I can't use the dial pad, I can't see alerts, nothing.
since this morning a black clock thing has been popping up on my screen i cant even use my phone because it wont go away or it will than itll pop aup again a couple seconds later.

Touch screen doesn't work properly at that time, I press something else and something else comes up.I have already done hard reset of the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried soft reboot, double soft reboot, hard reboot (removal and replacement of battery for 10sec to 1hr). Due to the reboot can not connect to computer to assist. Removed the sim and memory card and attempted to reboot with no success.ttempt to reboot in safe-mode failed also. I can not shut down except to remove battery. I have tried being connected to the computer without the battery and then replacing the battery that did not work either. like this model it has all the features I need, I need to have it functional ASAP or I will will have to change the phone and the service provider. My company is not tolerant of companies that do not support their productsand provide service solutions in a timely manner.This problem started sometime around 7-3-2012 (this doesn't have anything to do with the 5000 Blackberry layoffs recently, does it?)

In the morning when I was trying to switch it on it was not coming on. I put on charging, there was no indication of charging for some time then it started booting. The booting indicator (the line which indicates that the handset is being booted) went half way and stopped. The system did not respond to switch off button. The battery was removed and put back to restart. Every time it boots to half line and hangs.

It takes 2-3 minutes before the black box disappears, and the smartphone is useable again. This also happens when I want to use the Torch has gone to "sleep" mode. I hardly have some apps which are links to news websites - nothing heavy. whether this is a OS issue/glitch?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Torch will not let me into options. When I click on options it just hangs unless I press the hang-up button. Each time I reboot it I get an uncaught exception error - No Application. Its running the latest approved version of the OS from Orange. It also did this with he previous OS bundle so I do not suspect its a patch issue.

The go back key and the red hanging up (both on the right of the trackpad) one don't work when the phone is slid shut. When i try click the go back it doesn't work, or when i'm on calling someone and want to hang up it doesn't work.

Eventually, the update fails due to an internet connection failure and asks to retry. Tried using the desktop software to update and the BB website update. Both failed multiple times at the same point in the process.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI set my convenience key to the clock setting, and it's been working fine until today. Now the clock keeps randomly popping up even when I don't click the side key. I plugged in my phone to my laptop earlier today--could that have affected it somehow? I've tried a hard reset, and I've messed around with the convenience key settings. Nothing has worked--I'm just locking my phone and setting it off to the side for now.

Looking at my phone it still had the red clock symbol beside the text indicating it was still loading, or hadn't sent. I made the text nearly eight hours before meeting with this person.
After sending out a few more texts I notice every one of them has the red clock and they are not getting through. I also seem to not being getting texts at all. I tried taking out the battery but that didn't work.

I have to keep tapping on the snooze or the disabling button until it finally takes my input, it is aggravating. Another one is that when I tap on the headphones, from the jack, the music switches to handset, I have to tap it a bit hard and at a certain point again to get it to switch back to headset.The headset jack problem got worse in an update with 6.0(later type of 6.0 version), so I reverted(maybe the first 6.0 version), but that doesn't fix the problem, still, but it is less aggravating than before.

Mystery to me why but we've played with and changed all the clock settings including putting it onto manual time, auto on our time zone, entering the time itself, etc. but the stupid thing insists on changing the time by itself. This is one of a few problems we've had so far and our confidence is starting to drain in the blackberry phones.if only she'd of listened to me and had an iPhone.

When I select weekdays for the alarm it doesn't recognise this and doesn't go off on a Sunday. It still goes off on a Friday which is the weekend. So I have to remember to keep switching it on or off How can I change this setting?
