I'm a relatively new Smartphone user and am still getting used to my 8530 Curve. Over the last couple of days whenever I go to do anything on my phone (check facebook, check email, switch to another application, etc) I get this little black clock in the middle of my screen and it's like everything freezes for a few seconds. What is this and what does it mean?
View 4 RepliesI've had two Blackberry, but I'm new to the community. I traded my Pearl for the Curve 8330 a couple of days ago. The new message icon is constantly showing up. It started with three, then four, and now six. I have read several forums and have tried pulling my battery several times. I have even deleted my e-mail account and set it up again. I have gone into all my folders to see if there is a message hiding somewhere. I can't find anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Aside from doing a factory restore and/or calling Verizon does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reset the counter? By the way, my carrier is Verizon!
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I have disconnected battery and changed screen, now the screen is just black and the phone just double vibrates constantly when plugged into charger. sk basically screen is like dead, I tried old screen back in and same, but if was v damaged anyway with green screen and lines. But now just get black screen. iTunes recognises if and allowed me to restore but again same problem. Don't know whether to try another new screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed
Just recently when trying to move between functions my phone pauses and a little analog clock icon appears--what is this and how can I stop it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMultiple times throught the day my BB wil have a little time clock icon that shows up and while it's there the phone is delayed and I can't do anything with it until it goes away. I found a thread that suggested that I make sure I check all my running apps, which I did and shut down all but the defaults and the icon would still pop up. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution to this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy curve is operating really slowly and when I try to open or send a text or open a mail, I get a very small clock icon appear. After about 20 secs, the text or mail opens. Not able to send any e mails either. Thought too many stored mails may be the problem but device won't now allow me to delete. Battery also running low after just a few hours,even after fully charging.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently upgraded to the new BlackBerry Curve 8530 after having the Curve 8330 for 2 years. For the past week I have had nothing but problems. I pulled the battery out 4 times over the past week, and now I am having some problems with the SMS and MMS Text icon. When my phone receives an SMS or MMS message I click on the icon and read the message, and either respond or do not respond. Then when I back out and go back to my home screen, the SMS and MMS icon still indicates that I have an unread message. There is NO SMS or MMS indicator icon at the top of my screen to alert me of how many messages there are, because there are no new/old unread messages. I tried pulling the battery out twice, and it corrects the problem for a little bit (maybe an hour) and then reverts right back to it's annoying ways.
Please help me out. I attached a photo to this discussion so hopefully it will make it easy for whomever is responding to fully understand what is going on.
My Stats: Blackberry Curve 8310 on AT&T NO Data Plan I have done my research and after about a week of searching I have not been able to come up with an answer Before I knew that my 8310 was not able to get WIFI I deleted my TCP Settings.I re entered my TCP Settings with:
APN: WAP.CINGULAR
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
After these settings have been restored I am still unable to send and receive a picture message. Things that I have tried: Battery Pull Uppercase and Lowercase entry for my TCP Settings I considered doing a factory reset but I don't want to lose my brickbreaker high score
I wanted to use my Blackberry, so I took it out. I pressed the back button, so my screen would show. The screen was black, so I decided to press the end call button (Red). Still, nothing seemed to light up, the screen was black. So I removed my battery, put it back in. The LED light turned red for a couple of minuets, then turned off but the screen was still black. Tried connecting it to my USB Cable to the computer + the charge cable, but both to no prevail. I then thought maybe my screen is just temporarily bugging, maybe a call would do the trick. I tried calling my phone, but it went straight to voicemail. (Meaning the phone is off). The LED light shows, so what could be the problem?

A friend of mine put in their BBM name "love" in a different type lettering, but all I could see was 4 small black squares. It wasn't until I looked at my friends phone, who has a bold, that I noticed it actually said something, whereas I thought my friend had actually put the small black squares. Blackberry Calendar Application
Blackberry Messages Application
Blackberry Contacts Application
Facebook Notifications
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.
The facebook icon is not appearing on the home screen. I have deleted the facebook app, downloaded it again, removed the battery, resent service books, re-registered my Blackberry. Nothing works.
