I am using Torch 9800 and it hangs a lot. sometimes touch screen doesn't work and sometimes if it works then the icons dont show up on the screen. just the blank screen that's all. Touch screen doesn't work properly at that time, I press something else and something else comes up.I have already done hard reset of the phone.
View 1 RepliesI have tried soft reboot, double soft reboot, hard reboot (removal and replacement of battery for 10sec to 1hr). Due to the reboot can not connect to computer to assist. Removed the sim and memory card and attempted to reboot with no success.ttempt to reboot in safe-mode failed also. I can not shut down except to remove battery. I have tried being connected to the computer without the battery and then replacing the battery that did not work either. like this model it has all the features I need, I need to have it functional ASAP or I will will have to change the phone and the service provider. My company is not tolerant of companies that do not support their productsand provide service solutions in a timely manner.This problem started sometime around 7-3-2012 (this doesn't have anything to do with the 5000 Blackberry layoffs recently, does it?)

As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
Title speaks for its self. They just posted on there wall they will be offering it. No details as to when/price.

I bought a BB Torch 9860 a week back. Yesterday night the handset got switched off as the battery had exhausted. In the morning when I was trying to switch it on it was not coming on. I put on charging, there was no indication of charging for some time then it started booting. The booting indicator (the line which indicates that the handset is being booted) went half way and stopped. The system did not respond to switch off button. The battery was removed and put back to restart. Every time it boots to half line and hangs.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy 4 months old BB Torch 9810 with OS7 hangs after a phone call. A small black box appears in the center of the screen with a hand going around like a clock. It takes 2-3 minutes before the black box disappears, and the smartphone is useable again. This also happens when I want to use the Torch has gone to "sleep" mode. I hardly have some apps which are links to news websites - nothing heavy. whether this is a OS issue/glitch?

Each time I reboot it I get an uncaught exception error - No Application. Its running the latest approved version of the OS from Orange. It also did this with he previous OS bundle so I do not suspect its a patch issue.

i`ve recently bought a blackberry torch 9810 hangs very often when i make or recieve a call... Sometimes when i recieve a call the ringtone goes silent on its own ...It cal only be reset by taking out the battery.

Eventually, the update fails due to an internet connection failure and asks to retry. Tried using the desktop software to update and the BB website update. Both failed multiple times at the same point in the process.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

The question is I live outside US and I need to get it unlocked.Now, I saw that at at&t store, they are selling the torch for 499 dollars without contract. I am sure this is locked.If I can get this phone (I know I need to get someone with at&t to go with me to buy it), I can unlock it. This is for sure, right?
I see that some sites are selling it for 599 and 699 dollars but I dont want to pay the extra amount if I can get it unlocked.
