I'm on ATT network. Got home and placed cell on holder and popup with new update appeared. Said it would take the usual hour so I began doing some work while it upgraded. 2hours passed and the bar froze on the main checkup screen 90% of the way yet the phone came on and went through the general functions it always does. couldn't wait another hour---removed cell and began to attempt to get setting back to normal. Everything works except BB Protect. Keeps saying service temp unavailable. Did anyone else have this problem today? Is it really a temp service update or am I gonna have to wipe this thing (again).
When a call come in, displays on screen but no tones are heard. Went to "change sounds and alerts", "phone ring tone" and it just comes back to same screen.
if BIS outage is somewhere having problems? while the mobile data connection of my torch is normally working for almost all the apps and also it can navigate on internet, the app named "blackberry protect" is not connecting. I noticed that also another application, whatsapp, is timing out while connecting.
My phone was once a corporate phone and I recently bought it from a friend. I have been trying to install blackberry protect but it tells me that it cannot be supported by enterprise server. How do i correct this because it is now a personal device.

I entered my email on the BlackBerry Protect password retrieval webpage in order to reset my password, but I have not yet received an email and it's been over 12 hours now!!!
My BB has been playing up for the last 4 months (i've only had it for 10 months!!), and in the last week I noticed that whenever I use email, messenger, and texts all my letter 'i's are missing the dots above them. This is preventing me from sending emails as the letter is not recognised. So I figured I would backup and restore my BB to 2 weeks prior.
I can't backup to an earlier date without signing in, but as I said earlier I don't remember my password, and still no email with my password has been emailed to me!
I updated my Torch to the new OS ( 6.0.0.723) as usual all the apps were deleted after updating the OS. I installed my old apps, the app world was installed also However When i try to download Blackberry protect i get an error " Error 907 invalid COD, 404 error not found" this is the first time something like this happens,
Since last night, my Blackberry Protect app is "unable to login to your BlackBerry ID account", I did the usual, went to my BB account and reset a new password, didn't work, did twice, still hasn't worked. I jave a BB Torch 9810,
i tried to download the new software for my Blackberry which resulted in my phone crashing and having to re-install everything. When i logged onto Blackberry protect to retrieve my contacts there was only backups from the new installation. Surely this defeats the object of having the protect application?
i had a torch 9810 previously and it was stolen so i bought a new torch 2 but this time it was having some american company's symbol on it. I upgraded it to the next firmware and downloaded blackberry protect but the problem is my phone isn't being displayed on the blackberry protect website even after 10 backups.
I've changed my mobile network carrier. Since then my BBM will not work. I've done a Security Wipe. Still nothing. I cant even access Blackberry Protect from my mobile. The status always reads "The Blackberry Protect service is temporarily unavailable".
I changed to gmail 2 step verification account I am not bale to reset gmail account even after following the instructions given by Blackberry for validation or though by PC as per the instrcutions received from BlackBerry mail. I have 22 updates to do to my apps but can't update apps downloaded as "Cannot download" appears on the screen. Then says: "There is not enough available storage to download these items. You can manage your storage in settings." But when I select "Settings" on the screen, it doesn´t take me nowhere.
I woke up today to find a download in the notification list on my Photon. It was stuck at 14% for a good amount of time, so I powered it off and on again.I came on here and found out that an update had been released so I went into my Settings About phone and tried to update the Motorola Software, and now I'm getting the message in the subject.I've tried Googling the problem, tried clearing caches, etc, but I still can't download the update manually.
It seems when I download an app anyone who is in my BBM contact list gets a message that I downloaded that app. Where can I find the setting so that no one gets this message???
I downloaded an application from blackberry app world today on 29/01/2012 and after the installation the phone rebooted on its own and keeps rebooting and won't let the phone start up and this is causing alot of problems for me as i need to use my phone.I trust the appworld and all the apps as its licensed and registered and thats why i trust all apps, Please can Rim or Blackberry help me with my problem PleaseIf this problem isnt resolved i will resort to buy a new phone maybe an android or iPhone (eventhough Blackberry is my favorite)
When I asked to download it it said it was already there did I want newest version. Said yes, download seemed to work but no icon or means of accessing it - either before or after the latest download. When the phone was new I may have deleted the icon I suppose ... I've tried Show all. I want to use it now so need to find out where to access it from pdq.
I get the usual message it installed okay but when I try to open it, I get this message. Error starting BestEMailSpamBlocker: Module 'net_rim_bb_qm_platform' not found.
I've lost my 3rd party themes!I updated my OS to 4.7.1.61 OTA with no problems. I did have to reload a few applications (facebook, myspace, etc) but everything seemed to be working fine. After the update, my screen defaulted back to the original VZW Precision Zen theme. When I accessed the theme list to change it back to the downloaded theme I was previously using, it was gone!! The original BB Precision & VZW were listed, but the theme I downloaded from bplay was not. I checked by application list and sure enough, it was there.I redownloaded the theme from bplay, installed it, pulled the battery and rebooted... nothing, still not listed. I downloaded a theme from App World and did the same nothing, not listed. (I'm somewhat experienced in downloading themes due to multiple device replacements) I contacted bplay who sent me another theme free of charge for my inconvenience. Downloaded, installed, rebooted you guessed it, nothing. Yet all 3 themes showed in my applications list. I contacted the vendor for the App World theme, who told me it worked fine in the simulator with the new OS version, try a device wipe and/or contact my carrier. Onto VZW after 36 hours or so I got a reply telling me to indeed backup, wipe the device, reload, re-register, redownload the theme and retry. I have now done this (which is a real PITA having to reload ALL apps/customizations) and still neither theme works let alone even show up in my themes list. I've only seen one or two other posts for this problem between VZW, BB, & CB Forums, all void of any replies or suggestions. Anyone have a clue out there because the "professionals" seem to have no idea. - Themeless BlackBerry® 9630 smartphone (3G, CDMA) v4.7.1.61 (Platform 4.1.0.81) Cryptographic Kernel v3.8.5.51 Branding Version: 1.0.105.416o Micro Edition Configuration: CLDC-1.1 Micro Edition Profile: MIDP-2.0 Micro Edition JTWI Version: 1.0 Micro Edition Media Version: 1.1 Micro Edition PIM Version: 1.0 Micro Edition File Version: 1.0 Micro Edition Bluetooth Version: 1.1 Micro Edition Location Version: 1.0.1
