I'm trying to set up an additional e-mail address, but when I try to access the set up menu, the BB tells me my user name is not valid, and must be at least 4 characters long. The user name I have on record is my gmail address which is much more than 4 characters. How do I proceed to access the set up menu?
In March I was asked to validate my credentials, so I clicked on the link and it took me through to the Verify Blackberry ID page.I changed my email address as I had just got married. However it defaults to my old email address. I change it to my new email address and password but it says 'unable to log in at this time' I can log on through the PC as my new email address and password. It doesnt even recongise my old email address - but always defaults to it on the verify page.
I cannot login to my BBID on my Torch 9860. I'm using the correct password and username, but I get a message saying "can't login to account". With the same username and password I can login to the account on my pc. I've changed the password several times, thinking I had forgotten it, but the result is the same every time.

I recently changed my BlackBerry device and ever since, I have not been able to log in to my BlackBerry ID account from the new device (Bold 9900). I reset the password from my PC and used the new password on my new device and I keep getting the following message: "Unable to log in to your BlackBerry ID account" How can I fix this problem as I am not able to install any updates or install apps from BlackBerry App World.
So I had to replace my phone. I did a device switch using BB desktop. My BBID will not work. It will not even accept my ID as valid. This happened the last time I broke my phone too. I was not able to restore my ID then either and had to make a new one. I don't want to do that again. I'd acatually like to recover both so I can get all the apps I have paid for back...
Actually none of my emails work... they did when I first activated the phone, now nothing. Texts work but not any Email.
Orange sent me a new sim as I've had issues with reception dropping.so received new sim, put in my phone monday (16/4) when I was advised it will be activated.When I try to enter my logon and password to the BBID screen that comes up, nothing happens.I get a please wait message, nothing further happens.Called orange who were pretty much useless, told me to wait until 8pm last night (17/4) as my new sim should be activated with blackberry by then.I've tried removing battery & removing sim various times for various amounts of time.today I still cannot get into my phone, my BBID is def correct.Really do not want to wipe my phone and start all over.
When I try to send text messages or to back up my info to the ICloud,everything seems to be linked to her email address and I can't get rid of it. Do I need to wipe it all out and re-install all my contacts and pictures all over again?
When I connect my smartphone to my desktop computer via the USB cable, the computer fails to recognize the device. I have attempted reinstalling Blackberry Desktop Software multiple times. My desktop is a windows pc that is running Vista. I am currently running version 6.1.0.35 of Blackberry Desktop Software.
I recently dropped my phone in water, and as a result it wouldn't work (obviously!). I took it to get fixed, and the entire back was replaced. This resulted in me getting a new bbm pin etc. I was told that this would work fine, and that I would still be able to use bbm and my wireless internet (such as bbm, twitter, facebook etc) When I called o2 to have my blackberry services reactivated, they told me that "the device cannot be recognized" Now I'm wondering what else I can do. Is there anything I or o2 can do to fix this problem? Or perhaps the shop that fixed my phone?
I've had my BB Torch for about a year and it's worked fine with my email.Yesterday out of the blue it stopped receiving my gmail messages (my other email is working fine). But I did get a message "from" Blackberry saying "Action required, update settings for ****@gmail.com to TURN ON THE IMAP SETTING FOR ALL MAIL IN YOUR GMAIL ACCOUNT"My IMAP IS enabled. I tried disabling it, then re-enabling; I've tried removing my gmail account from my BB and recreating it; I've repeatedly "activated" my gmail account on my BB (each time I DO get a confirmation that my account has been activated), I've tried "wiping" my BB and starting over; I've "re-registered" the device on the network, I've deleted my email accounts in BB, removed the battery, reentered and "revalidated" my accounts. Nothing seems to workEach time I go back into "settings", my gmail shows as "invalid account. Please Validate"...I re-renter my passcode, get the acknowledgment that "your password has been successfully validated", immediately followed, again, by the "Action required" message from blackberry. I have repeated the process of setting up my gmail in my BB about 15 times...each time getting the validation confirmation, sometimes getting a message telling me that my account is set up correctly and that I should begin receiving email in about 20 minutes.
I have a 32gig Sandisk Micro SD that used to be recognized by my 9860, but just today, BB software does not find it. I did chck the Media options for storage and it shows up in the phone itself.
I have been using Blackberry protect and App world with this device but recently it sent me a mail to validate my ID credentials. Then get message:"Blank User Name type a valid user name"email in user name box looks good, would I get this message if the password was wrong?
for some reason i used the same user ID on my daughters iphone and on mine. Now we each get the others songs, photos and contacts from icloud. Is there a way to make a new user id for myself and keep my stuff
if I purchase an iPhone 4 in the USA will it work ok in the UK? and will my warranty be valid? I'm going to New York soon and I'm in no rush for the new handset but if the exchange rate is right and its cheaper in an Apple store in the USA in a few months then I was gonna wait and just pick the handset up then.
i have a jailbroken iphone 3gs w/ Winterboard and i have installed user wallpaper 4.0 / user lockscreen 4.0 and my Lockscreen photo and Wallpaper have the same photo which if i go into settings->Wallpaper it shows clearly lock & home have two diffrent photos. It was working a few days ago and i just noticed it today.
