I have a 32gig Sandisk Micro SD that used to be recognized by my 9860, but just today, BB software does not find it. I did chck the Media options for storage and it shows up in the phone itself.
On other BB's I've moved pictures from the device to the media card using the "move" function - I can't find this on the Torch. Am I overlooking something or will I have to use Desktop Manager?
Ok, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
I am experiencing a couple of problems with my device since the last prompted OS upgrade:
1. When I plug the device into a USB port on my PC, it successfully begins charging but I do not receive the familiar "USB Drive / Sync Media / Charge Only" selection prompt. Furthermore, the device isn't being recognized as a peripheral by my PC and, as such, I cannot access its data.
Note: I have enabled "Media Card Support" in Options -> Device -> Storage
2. When I send someone a voice note using BBM's "Send -> Voice Note" option, it no longer appears to save the voice note in the voice note collection in the Media section as it used to do.
I assume these two problems stem from the same issue, but I can't imagine what it may be, and looking around the forums / Google has produced nothing useful.
I have had my BB Torch 9800 since May 2011, and I had a media card (SD 2GB) in there since Day 1. Early November came around and my phone's media folder was completely empty and I was unable to view any of my pictures, music, etc from my external media card, but the internal built in media card still works just fine. I went into my local AT&T store just for kicks and giggles to see if they could do something (they couldn't). I consider myself an advanced Blackberry user, for I have had a Blackberry for a number of years. The torch is my 7th Blackberry and this is the first time I have had a problem with any of my phones. Not to diss the Torch or Blackberry, but this isn't their finest work. Back to the point, how can I get my phone to recognize my media device?

I have lost my pictures and I am receiving an error message that the media card has errors. It is saving pictires to the, phone and not the media card. I've taken it out, put it back in and took battery out to start the phone again. Still getting the same error message.
Only device memory and built-in-media storage are detected. I do not know why it doesn't read my media card even though it is inserted properly. I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card, formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....
I downloaded some music the other day from a friends PC & I wasnt aware that I had downloaded a virus as well. Now it has deleted all my pictures/music & videos that where stored on the memory card. Is there anyway to restore/retrieve all the info that has been deleted? I cannot also save pictures to the card so I save it directly to my device instead.
My 16Gb media card failed yesterday wiping out all my tunes, videos, and images. Repair of the media card fails the internal test and now I'm without media data storage. (1) how to effect repair, or (2) where to buy a new media card?
Pix that I take with the camera show up on the device as "Camera Pictures," even though I've configured it to "support media card," and to store camera pix on the card. I must manually move these camera pix to the "unfiled" folder on the device.
there just wondering when my media card is in my blackberry torch 9800 I can't receive any pics or voice notes but when I take the media card out then I receive everything
I changed the size of my media from a 4G to a 8G but the media files don't show up on my "media homescreen" anymore and i dont think it's my theme either because i tryed it with my 4G card and it was still there

I have a Blackbderry Torch and i have a media card in my phone, i have a file of important pictures on the media and i have managed to hide this file and i am unable to unhide this file..
I purchased a 8gb memory card for my torch and it worked for a few days then brought up a message saying the card has errors and needs to be repaired i would repair these errors and i formatted the card and it still carried on bringing up the same message I then purchased a 16gb memory card and the same message came up. I formatted the card , repaired all errors on my computer and off my phone. when i transfer all my media to the card and put it in the phone it says format card everytime i put it in i then format the card and re put everything on the memory card , "safely remove" it and put it back in my phone and it says format again?
It wants me to format n I refuse too I have lots of photos on there. I do not use a PC, I tried to repair it goes forever usually freezes n when I do that I have to turn off and won't turn on I have to do batt pull, or it fails, I'm not sure what to do to get it to work again, it is the one I got with this torch 9800, and never had a problem, now it won't work,
I've recently started using a Blackberry Torch and I'm wondering if there is any way I can transfer the pictures from the memory card out of my old phone directly onto my Torch.
I have been struggling for over a week to upload my music library on the BB Torch 9810.I have 32gb SanDisk card.First I tried to sync it with I-Tune library. After about 300 songs and a message that SYNC was successful, I disconnected my BB from the computer ..and got the message that the card needs to be repaired. I had to click YES otherwise the card cannot be used. After the card is repaired no more songs can be added and no songs can be played.
I reformatted the card and started from the beginning, this time trying to sync it with a Media Player Library. Tried about 8 times by SYNC and by dragging the media files on the card directly whilst the phone is connected. After about 190 songs which go on with no problems, I then get a message that "The media being played is an unsupported format"I make sure ALL songs are mp3 format. Sometimes it would recognize some songs from an album, but not all of them. How is it possible if the whole CD was burned at the same time, therefore all the songs are in the same format?I tried to take the battery out and put it back...but after the error message that "The media being played is unsupported format" or that card needs to be repaired I can't add anymore media files!I wiped my music and started from the beginning about 6 times. Every time it "trips" on a different album, and albums which were uploaded successfully before would not work if I try to add them later, i.e. if albums are uploaded in different order.
I downloaded some wallpaper files which landed on the media card!I can't access them but once somehow I was able to see the files - so they are there.I'm on a Mac so no DM at this time.Is there a way I can delete these as I'm unable to search the media card.
All my media files on the memory card are hidden. When i select any of the options in Media menu, I can only access the item that have been saved onto phone memory. All the files/folders that where on the memory card have dissapereard.
When i am in Explore mode and select the Show Hidden option, I can see all my previous files/folders. All the folders on the mem card have been hidden, and thus my device cant access the files.
How do i change this attribute permanatley, restore it to what it was.
when i plug my torch into my pc, there are no pictures in the "pictures" tab of the desktop view all have been sync. when i unplugg my torch i then have 2000+ pics on my media card . how do i delete these all at one time?
My company recently introduced a security policy that disallows the use of any from of external drives and I wasn't aware of this and i connected my phone to my laptop and couldn't access it and afterwards i noticed that i didn't have access to my files on either the device memory or memory card.I have tried saving stuff into them via bluetooth or from other systems but it won't show when i view it via my phone, however i can see the files on the system i can view the files. When i try to view the contents of the media card through the file manager i see that all the folders on the media card are showing as .exe files.I have tried to reformat the media card all to no avail.
i have a lot of photos on my torch, so i bought a micro SD card to store them. all of my old photos that were uploaded from a curve 8330 and my computer are on the media card, but it seems every time i make a new folder, the pictures save to the device rather than the SD card. is there some way to make the media card the default location when you're saving pictures?
I have recently been unable to save my photos to my memory card, it was working fine now has stopped and saves to device only even though it says save to media card. I have rebooted with new effect and have now replaced media card with new. I am considering a factory reset
I have hidden images on my media card and tried everything to retrieve these, I have gone into media menu like the other forums show and looked for explore (this is not on my menu list) how else can I retrieve / unhide these?
I keep getting a message to format a media card, file G that was installed. I haven't added a media card and when I click to format it comes back unable to format
I connected my blackberry to my pc without using the bb desktop software. I think my computer has a virus. I can't view the pictures and songs a loaded. When I am on the media folder I go to the hidden folder option to view some of them.
I had to take my battery out of my phone, which I've been having problems with my battery staying charged, but that's another problem.I now have this message on my phone saying: "A media card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the Media Card now?" I press "YES" to repair, then it says "If lost clusters are found do you want to save them?" I press "YES", then it says, "Media Card repair failed.
