Anyone able to hide or unhide (since one seemed to have vanished on me) their picture folders? I had a folder, ticked the hide button but it was still able to be seen. Battery pull (for a different issue) and than the folder is gone and have no idea how one would get it back. It's not like on the 9700.
I inadvertently hid some media folders, including some photos, videos, ringtones, and documents, and now can't get them back... I tried Media/Explore/Show All/Properties, but the "Unhide" checkbox is grayed out.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to have a seperate folders and be able to hide them and store pics In them I was also wondering how to if possible make ur pictures password protected meaning you would need a password to see the pics you know for those sneaky folks!
I install mail for exchange 3.0.Under my inbox I have a lot of sub folders that I don't want to sync. The problem is that when I get into my inbox for exchange in mh E71 I see all my sub folders (~20)so in order to see my email I need to scroll down a lot until I see my emails. Is there any option to hide the sub folders that are not sync ?
I have tried everything to try and resolve my issues but have not been able to do so. First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
unhide pictures in my picture folder?i had pictures and did something in the properties that said hide but now i dont now where to go unhide them to show again in my picture library?
Can someone please tell me how to unhide a picture? Everywhere I looked said hit Explore from Menu key in Media but on the 9700 there is no explore option under the Menu key when I'm in Media.
Somehow or another the complete picture folder on my memory card has become hidden and I can not unhide it! I go to the "files" application and get to my memory card location, click the BB button, show hidden and there my picture files is. When I highlight it, click the BB button and go to properties to unhide it, the hidden with the "check" is a dull gray meaning I can not unhide the file. I have tried unhiding the file with my sync cable on my laptop... can't locate the file. Pull memory card...no luck. Battery pulled... no luck. There has got to be a way to unhide the folder.
When trying to send a picture, taken by my blackberry torch 9800, I have no option to send it by text. I only have the option to send by email, bluetooth and facebook. how to have the send by text option available?
I just download a new theme to my BB 9800.But, this theme make my BB hang and jam! Please I need help, how to format my BB and back up my contact.I can't go to Option or Setup, even I restart my phone, this theme like a virus, my phone still jam and can't click any button.
My BB Torch 9800 camera turns on, but will not take a picture or turn off. I get a message: "Uncaught exception: Application_net_rim_bb_file _explorer (1037) is not responding, process terminated. OK. " When I click OK the camera is still on and won't turn off. I rarely use the camera function, but did recently with no problems. Transferred pix to my computer, last use. Now camera doesn't work and I cannot view pictures in folder on my phone.
I updated the software on my phone a few weeks ago, which resulted in the phone turning itself off constantly. However, when I take a picture it looks as if its saved, but when I go to the media files a little later all I see is a picture icon not the actual picture.
When I use the video camera it seems to save and I have been able to view once or twice, but after a period of time the file turns into a music file with no video. This has resulted in several videos of my baby daughter being lost and being replace by the same music.
I have followed the advice on the forum by deleting .dat files from the folders. This has resulted in the pictures taken since the upgrade disappearing altogether. The only way I can keep a picture is by emailing it to myself instantly.
I bought my Torch 9800 two weeks ago and my video camera works fine, very fine, but I cannot take a picture when I change to camera mode. Just appear a black screen and the button stay in gray color (disabled).
I have had the torch for about 2 weeks and initially didn't like it at all, I had a Curve for 2 years but dropped it once too often :-(. Anyway I am a big guy 6'2" 225 and I am still getting used to typing (hope i will), but the biggest issue I have is the "Lock" button for the phone. I usually keep the phone in my pocket and if you breath on the lock button too hard the phone unlocks. Is there an option for holding the lock button down for "X" seconds before the phone unlocks, I loved that you had to hit 2 keys to unlock the Curve. I really don't want to deal with a password, is that my only option?
i really only want it for text, email and talking to people, would I be better off with the new Curve 3G?
I use TrekBuddy, a navigation software. Trekbuddy stores map snippets on the phone, hundreds of little images in graphical format (JPEGs or PNGS).When I go into "Photos", Under "All"I see thousands of pictures because the phone finds all the map snippets. How can I hide the map snippets from the "Photo" galery?
On my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? I'm not sure If I messed something up which caused the option to disappear. At a minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? I just bought a new Torch and am unable to set up personal email (internet). I have read the postings and have doen the follwoing but to no avail:
1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.
I just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.
