Jan 7, 2010I am trying to move music files from the media card to the device memory. I have accessed Blackberry website and followed the instructions but my menu does not give the option to 'Move'. This is a replacement handset and apparently software etc has been upgraded since I got the previous one 7 months ago. I want to use music as a ring tone (I am also having problems downloading music but that's another story). Can anyone out there help as I am at the point where I might just flush the thing down the loo and go back to a basic mobile!

Jun 24, 2010I have ongoing problem with my N97 and its memory card, when the card is not inserted, my phone works perfectly well, on inserting the memory card the phone will act oddly , locking up , saying that the mass memory is full (not so) etc' etc'. anyway I cannot format the card from the phone, (I dont know why) all i get is that the memory card is corrupt, (tried several cards, all give the same mesage) and there is no option to format from the phone. So I formatted the card to Fat32 via my pc and It is still the same! Someone mentioned the phone creating "Standard Folders" during formatting via the phone? does anyone know what they are? and could i download them and put them on via my PC before reinserting the card. This is just about my last shot at fixing this, unless anyone knows anthing else!

Aug 15, 2010Anyone able to hide or unhide (since one seemed to have vanished on me) their picture folders? I had a folder, ticked the hide button but it was still able to be seen. Battery pull (for a different issue) and than the folder is gone and have no idea how one would get it back.It's not like on the 9700.

Shortly after I got the phone, I bought a 128GB card on eBay. It arrived a few days ago. Right after I got it is when the problem started. I tried moving files from my phone to the card. But then I noticed my files disappearing on the card. So I tried a smaller 64GB card to see if the 128GB was faulty. Neither of the cards have worked. Jul 21, 2010Up until last week I was able to merrily sync my songs onto my Storm's memory card using Windows Media Player, then all of a sudden all the songs on the memory card disappeared from the Storm's media player and I could only see the songs on the phones onboard memory. However, you can see and play the files by exploring through the file system on the Storm and choosing the "show hidden" option in the folders. As these files cant be viewed through the Storm's media player, the media experience becomes very poor. Now, I noticed that if I sync the songs to the Storm using Windows Media Player AND choosing NOT to create a file hierarchy on the Storm's memory card, the songs appear correctly in the Storm's media player, with the disadvantage that the memory card becomes a bit cluttered because tracks arent sorted into folders as I have chosen not to use a file hierarchy when syncing.

Jul 12, 2011My phone said "memory full, delete some data",Ever since, all my tracks bar 3 are not showing on the memory card, neither are about 90% of my sound, image and video files.
Basically, my memory card is only showing a very small number of files and the rest I cannot access. Phone is N73 that caused this. Memory card is Mini SD.Ive used data cable and is still the case on the laptop, also tried memory card reader. Still exactly the same only showing small number of actual files. I can see the folder names however it says empty. But in properties it still recognizes the fact that that 1.9GB is used of 2.0GB. However I can only access about 100MB of those files.

Nov 2, 2011I was trying to back up my memory card (5800XM) via Windows XP - copying/pasting - and several corrupt files were thrown up.e.g "22%.dat" in the Private....CacheE folder, a file for Opera Mini DS folder Even when I deleted 22%.dat from the phone, it was miraculously resurrected as soon as I tried to copy over again. Do I have to reformat the card & reinstall Ovi Maps, music / image files, Apps again ?

Mar 9, 2011All my media files on the memory card are hidden. When i select any of the options in Media menu, I can only access the item that have been saved onto phone memory. All the files/folders that where on the memory card have dissapereard.
When i am in Explore mode and select the Show Hidden option, I can see all my previous files/folders. All the folders on the mem card have been hidden, and thus my device cant access the files.
How do i change this attribute permanatley, restore it to what it was.

Jun 17, 2014I am using HTC M8 and my issue is with hiding video files. For hiding video files I am using gallery vault app. The problem is that I have a video file (wmv format) 1 gb in size on my SD card and when I try to hide the file using gallery vault or any other video hiding app the video file reduces phone memory. I was told that when a file in SD card is encrypted it is getting stored in the same destination (SD card). For eg. a file in SD would remain in SD even after hiding. So why does the files which are hidden is reducing my phones memory. I had the same problem with my S4 phone.
