Recently activated my blackberry internet service as I was told to do but I still cannot set up emails as I only have the option to setup an account with blackberry enterprise server. Is there anything I have missed to enable this?

It worked once but I wiped the phone to delete all the rubbish now when I enter the setup stage it says unable to connect to email servers? My problem is somewhat simple but I can't figure out how to solve it.From the Desktop Manager, I upgraded my blackberry 9780 to the OS Version 6.0 with the usual procedure.cAfter all that, my emails sync didn't actually synched. Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.

I just bought a HTC Desire. I found that when I download my emails using the Gmail facility on the device, I no longer able to open/download the emails on my notebook. This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this? I want to be able to open my emails using the smartphone but, also open and save them on my notebook.

I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)

After changing network I had to re register my new sim for the blackberry service for my email. When i entered the email set up program it prompted me to update from 6.10.1119.1125 to 6.11.0324.1701. After this i rebooted the device and tried to setup my email. When I enter the email setup program it "hangs" on "checking for updates" or sometimes "checking settings" . It will not go past this screen and I am unable to set up my email. I have contacted Three Uk customer service and they have no resolve. Can you help as I cannot use the email service on my blackberry. I have also tried to setup on the website but it says I must setup on my device for the 9800 phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.
When I turn on the main computer and access my emails, my other emails on my iPhone and iPad disappear.Â

If I'm on my PC and I compose a message to the same email address I'm writing from, which is connected with my BIS, the email doesn't appear on my BB ever.In Gmail, I have forwarding disabled but POP enabled.

Is it possible to stilll recieve the emails but that all attachments are filtered and excluded from the pushed email into my BB? If I want to see the attachments I will goto a proper PC to see it by logging in that way. I want the BB to just let me know an email was sent, and what text/word content is in it, if any. I dont want to recieve the attachments to my blackberry.
Also, does the emails with attachments sent to blackberrys use the data, or are they not downloaded until you explicitly click to open attachments>
Is there a way of highlighing all or numbers of emails so blocks of emails can be deleted rather than one by one?
