I am a corporate user accessing emails through a BES server. The device I use is a BlackBerry Curve 8520.I want to setup my device, so that in addition to silently receiving emails sent to distributions lists of which i am part of, it should also BEEP when an email arrives with my email id in To/Cc/Bcc.

My phone vibrates, but I what I want is my chosen alert tone in my ear. When I get a phone call, I get the phone number read to me and the alert tone. I have tried turning the A2DP off and about a hundred other things.

I can't use my emails on my blackberry, the email setup icon does not exist anymore.I called my service providers (Zain) and they said they cannot help me. When i try to login online by pin number it says that my account is suspended !

Just about to throw it at the wall !Message received "The information you provided is incorrect. Retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive."Have tried from my device and also through www.orange.blackberry.co.uk on my computer - following instructions on screen and from advisor over phone.Nothing is working - am stuck and paying for useless device!

I tried the usual advice, yes sound notifications is on for new emails the phone dings when I get a new email from my gmail account, tried rebooting and reconfiguring my email account but nothing so far.

I am able to receive emails on my Blackberry Bold 9700 perfectly fine, and I can send emails to a vast amount of people with no problem. But to a couple of specific people, I am unable to send any emails, and I get a 'red cross' on the email sent, with the status being 'General Failure'.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 3GS has no sounds now except the phone ringer. I have toggled the mute switch back and forth and it makes no difference. When I go into settings for sounds I see at the top that it is marked silent. However I cannot find any way to switch that off and reset it back to sounds. The only thing that seems to work now is vibrate and the phone ring.

I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

On the Photon I have the same tone setup for text messages coming in through Handcent but it also plays for email coming into the native email client which I do not want. Is there anyway to ether turn it off or select a different ring tone for emails?
Also what is the over/under for Motorola getting tired of hearing "I could do it on my HTC..."

My problem is somewhat simple but I can't figure out how to solve it.From the Desktop Manager, I upgraded my blackberry 9780 to the OS Version 6.0 with the usual procedure.cAfter all that, my emails sync didn't actually synched. Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.

I just bought a HTC Desire. I found that when I download my emails using the Gmail facility on the device, I no longer able to open/download the emails on my notebook. This happen vice versa - when I open the emails on my notebook, it would not show on my HTC. How can I reverse this?
