Apr 13, 2012I have two e-mail addresses on my phone and for one address, it will randomly delete my messages in the inbox. Sometimes when I open this inbox, I can see the messages just disappear, sometimes before I can even read them. I have it's settings to delete after 1 month and have reset that several times.

May 28, 2012I am a brand new iphone4s user. I have 2 email accounts (yahoo and work ). When emails are sent to me they do not appear on my phone until I select the account and then it searches and they appear. But they are usualy emails that were sent hours before.How can I be notified right when they come in?

Nokia :: E66 - Messaging Deletes My Emails
Jan 4, 2010I'm a new E66 user, I set up my email on Nokia messaging and started using today. I'm using an IMAP email server. I receives emails into my phone, they are kept in the server but after outlook receives the emails, they are deleted from the server. And after that emails are deleted from my phone immediately. It doesn't wait for 3 days or so.
And also I can't change "3 days" option from the options menu, it says "Setting can not be changed!"when I tried to.
Because I'm a new user, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I tried the options and couldn't find anything about it.I updated phonesoftware and download the last version of Nokia Messaging.

Feb 2, 2010I am having problems with my email in my 5800 can anyone help?it has worked perfectly since I had it until January when it suddenly decided to download every email I have ever kept on my server (several hundred) I then had a fiddle with the settings and now once it picks up my emails and I've looked at them it automatically deletes them from the phone and the server without asking even though I've checked the 'always ask button' I have lost several very important documents this way. I have previously not had this problem in fact when I deleted e-mails before this problem and hit the 'delete from phone and server' the e-mail still remained in my home computer. I have gone through all the settings on the phone many times and cannot see why this should be happening.

Jan 20, 2010I have an email account on my Blackberry. It is also hooked up via Entourage on my Mac (same thing as Outlook). When I check an email on my Blackberry, it is marked as read, obviously. But when I click on that email again in Entourage is re-sends the email to my device. This has always happened, I've gotten over it. But now I am realizing that when I delete that duplicate email off the device by using "Delete off handheld", it deletes BOTH of the emails on the device! Have any of you seen this?

Mar 31, 2010I'm unable to read individual emails when using the Outlook Web Access site in the internet browser window.I am using this to check work email and would rather do it this way (over the internet) than using the e-mail client that is part of the device. I'm able to log-in to my inbox and see everything I should see, however when I try clicking on an individual email to read it, nothing happens. I've tried clicking on the sender's name, the subject line and everything else on the line for that email. When I do that nothing happens.Am I doing this wrong? Is there somewhere else I'm suppose to click? Is there possibly some setting that needs to be turned on or maybe one that is on that should be unchecked?Any help would really, really be appreciated.

Jul 4, 2015Just upgraded my wife's phone to the S6 from Verizon Wireless. She had an S4 previously. Problem is with the stock android email app on this phone: On the S4 when she would save an email it would save it to the "Saved email" folder. She could then open the saved emails in that folder and it would have any attachment saved with the email. She could then open the attachment if she wished.
The S6 email app allows her to save an email, but the options menu says it will save the email as a FILE. When accessing these saved emails she discovered only the text of the email was saved. The attachments are not saved with the emails.
This is a completely ridiculous and stupid change by Samsung or Google, whichever is the one who is responsible for that app. I am surprised other users have not complained about this, I did not see anything about this on the 'net when searching.
My wife uses this phone for business and needs to access the attachments in the emails her clients send her. I understand she can save the attachments to the phone, but they go into a location in the "My Files" on the phone. It is a lot easier to access an email from a client, be able to read what they sent, and then open the attachment from within that email. If she has to save the emails and attachments separately there is nothing to link the two together and she would have to do what I think is many unnecessary steps to access both things.

Mar 11, 2010Been using the N900 for a few weeks now, replacing one of my superb E90s. So far, sort of so good, the major differences in the user interface are causing a few issues, but I sort of expected that!Does anyone have any answers to the following please?
1. Is there some way of being notified of my emails better? I have four accounts on my Nokia Messaging account, and I have to open each one and check each inbox individually. Pain in the neck; is there an app that shows on the main menu screen what new emails are in which box?
2. Can SMS be marked read? My N900 keeps reporting that I have so many new SMSs, but I have actually read them;
3. Why do all my contacts' birthdays come up twice in the calendar? That's just annoying - it looks as though the N900 is adding a birthday automatically;
4. Is there a setting to allow the system to change from portrait to landscape and back again? My device only seems to do this on a few applications - is this normal?
5. Skype - is there a way to see which contacts are on line, other than having to wade through the contact lists? I have over 2,000 contacts and it is pretty time consuming, if I am just looking for a chat with anyone about.

Is it possible to stilll recieve the emails but that all attachments are filtered and excluded from the pushed email into my BB? If I want to see the attachments I will goto a proper PC to see it by logging in that way. I want the BB to just let me know an email was sent, and what text/word content is in it, if any. I dont want to recieve the attachments to my blackberry.
Also, does the emails with attachments sent to blackberrys use the data, or are they not downloaded until you explicitly click to open attachments>

Jun 22, 2012I was using an app yesterday for stock quotes. When I finished, I went Home, then to iTunes. When I picked up my 3GS today, it was dead. Plugged it into the charger and got the red indicator for a moment, then began charging, blue Apple screen, and now the normal lock screen almost fiully charged.
I was under the impression that once I stopped using an app it quit instead of running in the background.
And if the app doesn't auto-terminate, how do you quit it?

1. I want txt alerts to continue (every minute or two) until I have opened and read a text message. Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
2. I want to disable predictive text as I don't like the I-Phone algorhthym for this -- it causes me endless grief. Which model allows for this?
3. I want my battery to last a minimum of 2 days without charging (I've tried all the usual ways of reducing battery consumption and the result does not meet my needs). Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
