I have Gmail on my iPhone, with both Push and Fetch disabled completely.
However, if I open up my contacts list to make a phone call, my iPhone decides to pull all my emails in even though I didn't open Email?
I have a POP email account. My iPHone 4 use to only pull up unopened, unread emails, which is what I prefer. The iPhone 5 now pulls up all emails, even if I have read and deleted from on my laptop.

I have two different hotmail account synced with my Blackberry. One of my hotmail accounts is receiving emails just fine to my blackberry. The other is not receiving any! I have tried sending serivice books and a battery pull. What else am I missing? Yesterday they both worked fine and now today only one works.

When I go into Wi-Fi Networks under Settings, the Choose a Network doesn't show any networks - just a spinning circle every few seconds, but nothing comes up. My network used to show up here with a check next to it. The bars at the top of the phone show I am connected to Wi-Fi (I am on my network ok), but in Settings it shows Wi-Fi is Not Connected. I have Reset my phone, but it didn't fix it. I am reluctant to Reset Network setting because I won't be able to choose a network if none are showing up.

I am trying to disable the top pull down menu from my lock screen. Just about every single time I pull my phone out of my pocket to preview any notification(s), the pull down menu covers everything and blanks it out. It's not a huge deal, but just really annoying when I want to respond to a specific notification immediately, or even just preview the notifications. I don't use the pull down menu ever, so I would permanently disable it, if even possible.

When I pull a contact from my Exchange server it only shows the user name and a few phone numbers. It does not show the address. I know there are addresses because every exchange contact has one. Is there a way for the iPhone to display the address by default? A lot of times I need to look at where the user is located. Of course I can save a contact and add an address in, but I work for a very large company and there are hundreds and hundreds of users. Cannot add them all. there is a way to display the address. Coming from a Blackberry I was able to do this very easily and every contact field was displayed. Not sure why the Iphone is just selecting the contact name and phone numbers only. Doesn't Apple think an iPhone user would want to see the contacts address too?

I've deleted roughly 80% of all my messages, got rid of any apps that could be slowing the phone down, restarted the phone, etc.
And still, when I go to search/add a name in the to field in SMS, it can take about 5 seconds to find it.
Before upgrade firmware 5.1.1 via Sony PC Companion and again via OTA ,the notification bar cannot pull down. I have tried factory reset ,but it 's same problem.

The question I have is should I still pull it once in a while (i.e. once a month or so) even though I don't have any problems? Can I go months or years without pulling it if I have no problems?
Is pulling like rebooting your computer and it should be done once in a while whether needed or not?Are there those who pull it regularily just ot keep these BB in shape so to speak?
My BB 9830 is not opening web pages or any web application when I am connected to WIFI at home, the same WIFI works on other devices and laptop/desktops but when I try to use it on my device it connects ok but when I open the webpages it says unable to connect to server try again later and if issue persists then contact service provider.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I'm only posting here because I have the V10 but I'm pretty sure the SD card is the issue. All of a sudden I can't save anything to my SD card or pull anything off. Try to take a pick it says failed to write file but if I switch storage to phone it'll take the pic. Tried to move stuff from SD to internal and it just cancels. I can still see my files that are on the SD card such as pictures and music and pulling that stuff up works fine. Also have 20 gigs available on the 32 gig SD card and like 28 available on the phone.

A couple of years ago I bought Scrabble from the Sprint store and put it on my RAZR. I switched to a V950 and downloaded Scrabble on that from the online content manager. I ended up having to reset the V950 and the download had expired from the content manager. Now Scrabble is no longer available for purchase/download/whatever. Is there any way to retrieve the program from my previous RAZR and install on the V950?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an E72 a few weeks have simply love it.However this morning I decided to transfer some photo's to my computer. I turned off the phone removed the memory card and later on I put the memory card back and tried to switch the phone on.
The phone now just won't switch on, I have tried removing the battery and leaving it for an hour but with no luck.
Is this the correct method?
Or should I be doing something on the phone/computer to disconnect?
On my homescreen, since the update to belle, we now have a pull down menu which allows you to switch on or off Mobile Data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or select Silent Mode.
I quite like this feature but want to ask.......can you edit these functions? For example, rather than go from General to Silent, I'd prefer be able to select 'Meeting' rather than "Silent'.
I bought an Otterbox which means a battery pull for my Tour (Verizon) is a pain in the you know what. I had Quickpull until it got lost with a RIM 5.0 update. View 10 Replies View RelatedI was scared today. So I wanted to charge up my phone in my charge station and found out that there was no charge going into the phone. I then tried to plug it into my computer and still no charge to the phone...So Now im scared!!!!
I then turn my phone off and power it back on to find out it say invalid sim card, and it still does not take any charge....Then I pull out the battery and restart the phone and the sim card is properly found, and it is now charging just fine. In the end everything turned out fine! What leads me to the question WHAT CANT A BATTERY PULL DO???When in doubt pull it out!( Not to be misinterpreted)
Sure both restarts the OS, but are they the same in terms of ability to fix problems or mode of operation. Perhaps a battery pull is a 'full shutdown' so to speak but alt-caps-del is not? Or is there really no difference at all?
