I use gmail to receive emails on my Galaxy s5. But whenever I delete emails, they reappear as soon as I call for more emails. How do I stop this from happening?

I tried to delete a couple items from the note & after a few seconds the items reappeared. Can you not edit a note & save? I do not recall ever having the issue previous to the latest OS.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I lost some mail when I was cleaning up my iPhone, thinking that the mail was already on the Mac, as it is whenever I log on. Lo and behold, I lost some three months of mail! What to do? Do I have to phyiscally email each email that I get on iCloud to my mac account,or even gmail account? I am getting confused.... as I thought the iCloud was a huge server in the sky that I could access anytime, anywhere, on any planet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 e-mail accounts; mail drops into each as it should. When I open my e-mail on my PC, mail drops into my accounts (Outlook) and is deleted from the server. At that point the e-mails are also still on my phone. However when I next switch from one account to the other on the phone, all e-mails are deleted from both accounts on the phone.This was never a problem with my HTC Wildfire, when I would delete mail on the phone manually, which is what I want to do now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got this problem since yesterday. my s5 is running 5.0 so i went to "About Device" hit the software update button and it updated though its still 5.0 Lollipop. So i went back to About device and unchecked automatic update. It still kept on connecting to server and downloading update. So it updated again after it updated and rebooted the device it still connected to the server on its own and started downloading updates again. I know i might have a lot of updates to download but is there a way i can stop this because its annoying. why despite downloading these updates my OS is still 5.0? r they firmware or security etc updates? performance updates?

The bold is drying out in a tub of rice. I desperately need to access the emails on my bold that I had sent and received and we're in my inbox. I was hoping they would appear when setting up my pearl but only new emails have arrived. Can anyone help me? The documents I need are to and from my lawyer and as much as I know how stupid I am not to have them backed up, I have a lot riding on their content.

However, if I delete an email on my iphone, it will be deleted on my computer's Outlook. When I open an email, in either place, it will show up as read in both. This is whole issue is also taking place with my iPad. I have reset my Outlook on my iPhone several times, yet it is still not sycning.

In the task manager, if I click "Clear Memory" under RAM tab, it said more than 10 apps closed. But when I click the same button after few mins, it said the same number of application closed again.Actually which applications got closed when I clicked the Clear button first time, and how those apps occupied the memory once again, how do I ensure, my RAM is not used by unused/unwanted apps, where can I see the which applications are using how much memory?

When I heard about the nightmares of lollipop (especially on VZW) I told her to avoid the update. Now, she's telling me that she was just forced to pick a time today for her to update, and at 5 pm tonight it will do it. Is there anything she can do to stop this update? I told her to check in about phone but she said nothing relevant is there. How can they force you into an update that breaks your phone?

On my iPhone, there is a toggle where I can prevent certain apps from using ANY data at all, not just background data. Meaning if I were to switch that on for Facebook, when I open the Facebook app, and I'm not on wifi, it wouldn't be able to load anything at all.
I understand there's the restrict background data feature on the s6, I tested it and it will only restrict data when I'm not using the app. But if I were to open the app it will still use data. For example I would like to turn off data for my manga app, as I usually download the manga at home using wifi. But now everything I open the manga app it will use my data to download some images on the manga app.
Is there anyway I can completely prevent an app from using any Mobile data? It should prevent the app from using data even when it is open.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bought the device and I'm not sure because of teh missing SD card, how to handle my "best practises" for Samsung devices. Originally I stored music, videos, Whatsapp media, Titanium backups and so on on my external memory card. But this option is now gone. Is there any way to create a new partition as external sd card wich is recognized by apps and is not affected by hard resets (which is mostly necessary for custom rom updates) ? I don't want to get in a copy nightmare for every ROM update which requires a full wipe. Is tehre any solution? I can't be the only one who is thinking about this issue.

Unfortunately, cell standby has been a major problem of mine for a long time. I know that it has something to do with connecting to WiFi while idle or sending streams of data required by some apps, but I don't know how to reduce the battery strain. It's battery drain can range from taking up to 25%-50% of my battery life, whether or not I use my phone during the day, and my phone will only last about 1/2 of the day.
I have been looking up ways on how to solve this on other popular threads on this site, but none have had any lasting solutions. I have done the usual battery saving tactics like turning down brightness, scanning for Wi-Fi, location, Google now, Bluetooth, sync settings, disabled bloatware that I don't need that commonly suck up battery life on other Galaxies, attempted both turning on and off advanced calling, and attempted the method where you wipe the cache partition and reboot the device, and reset the settings and restored to factory defaults, all of which only reduced the battery strain a little bit.
I would like to know if i can download a book onto my galaxy 6 edge? I don't have a kindle but would like to be able to read on my cell phone...
