View 2 RepliesI have got major problem with SD card usage. To cut the story short, it is not usable! Nothing can be copied or moved to sd card, all files got deleted as soon as I restart the device. Curently, I am running Lollipop, but there was the same problem on Kitkat.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI just had this happen yesterday. I was getting on a flight and powered off my phone. I had about 40% when I powered down. When I got off the flight, my phone wouldn't power up, so I found an outlet and found that I had no power. I know I powered it off, and so why would it be out of juice when it had battery left when I powered down?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI copied 7zip encrypted files to my external SD card using my laptop and then encrypted the SD card with the Razr M's FIPS compliant encryption engine and now I'm unable to open the 7zip encrypted files. I keep getting "Cannot open file as an archive" error, no mater what program I'm using.

I tried to delete a couple items from the note & after a few seconds the items reappeared. Can you not edit a note & save? I do not recall ever having the issue previous to the latest OS.

I use gmail to receive emails on my Galaxy s5. But whenever I delete emails, they reappear as soon as I call for more emails. How do I stop this from happening?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI imported my photos on my computer last night from my phone. Typically I do this by creating a folder on my desktop, copying and pasting from the DCIM folder on the phone. I then will open up Picasa where I edit my photos. All of these steps seemed to work as they normally do (status bar completed, etc) so I went ahead and deleted the pictures in the DCIM folder. When I went to edit the photos, I realized that only about 10 of them were there... not the over 100 I had saved.
Any ways to recover off some hidden spot on the phone? I tried a free app which located many of the photos that were deleted, however, none of the ones I actually needed, which were only taken hours before. I'm thinking they never had a chance to save wherever these recovered ones went?
I like the consolidated inbox (messaging) on the RAZR Maxx. I only have 1 significant issue with the app.
We need an option/feature so that when you delete messages from the email server that they are removed from the phone. Having to redundantly delete messages from the phone that have already been deleted from the server is ridiculous.
The opposite is provided ... you can choose if you want to delete messages from the server when you delete them from the phone but the reverse needs to be provided as well.
When I delete emails from my pc on my old earthlink account (yes, I still use an earthlink account, got too much stuff linked to it still) it doesn't remove them from my Turbo email folder. Not sure if I'm missing a setting or what but my old Droid DNA synced just fine. I'm using the default email app on the phone. I'm tired of seeing a ton of emails on my phone but only having 10 in my inbox via my pc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X and I recently decided to upgrade my sd card to a PNY 16gb card. For some reason, every time I add music to the card I attempt to play the music and it might work fine but after a few songs, the phone slows down and freezes. I've added music to the card a few different ways and I keep getting the same results. For instance, I initially put the card in the phone and formatted it and connected it to my pc with the usb cord and transferred songs that way had issues. Then I used a card reader and formatted the card on the pc, loaded up songs then installed the card into the phone had issues. The only time I had a little 'success' was when I added songs via usb to the card little by little. I added 2 album and used it for a little bit and it seemed fine. Then I added 2 more albums and it seemed ok. By the time I hit about 10-12 albums it got bogged down and the phone froze up on me. I don't know if this matters but in each case I'm just creating a folder called 'Music' and I put all the songs into it.
I'm not sure if the 16gb card is too 'big' or if maybe the type of card I have is wrong. I've also read some stuff about 'media scans'. Does the phone automatically scan new files that are on the sd card and by adding too many at a time the phone just slows down to a crawl?
I purchased an Inateck All in One card reader to view pictures from a SD card reader. How do I use it to view pictures that are on my SD card? Where do I find them on my phone?

How do I set my phone to use use my external SD card, 32 gig, for as much as possible so that I can try to use only what is mandatory on my internal storage? I have my camera set to use my external SD card I'm not sure how to set apps, downloads, music etc to use external. I'm assuming there is a recommendation that those of you who know more about using this phone than I that I should use?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought my wife the Razr Maxx HD phone. She had an HTC Thunderbolt with a 32gb microSD card containing music and photos. So, when we got her new phone, I put that microSD card into it. The phone found the music instantly, but it did not find any of the photos on the microSD card. I was able to find the photos on the card through the file explorer app on the phone located in a DCIM folder, but I cannot figure out how to get the phone to "see" and upload them to the phone's library.
View 4 Replies View RelatedTry to use data recovery application eg recuva, testdisk .. to recover my lost whatsapp media files from phone internal storage, but the application totally can't detect my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
I shared a directory on my PC via Motocast, but files I've deleted are still showing up in the Droid Bionic when I connect to Motocast and browse that shared directory. If I add new files into the PC directory, they show up immediately on the Droid Bionic, but deleting them does not make it disappear on the Bionic when I browse that shared directory.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to both move files to the sd card on my LG G3 and edit them, yet I don't seem to be able to do either. I updated the phone to lollipop through ATT.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know what happened to my phone, it was working fine last night. I went to bed with it fully charged and not plugged in but still on, woke up this morning and plugged it in and got nothing. It won't charge. It was at about 50% battery and when I plugged in the USB cord nothing happens, tried plugging it into the computer still nothing. I've tried using multiple cables, using the stock one which it charged on last night and forever next to my couch fine.
After some troubleshooting I noticed that when I plug it in with it turned off, it does charge. This sucks though, I can't keep my phone off while it charges. Also tried plugging it into the computer while it's turned off and it says USB device not recognized. I plug my phone into my computer all the time so I know it's not a question of the drivers not being installed.
I am trying to encrypt data files on my Droid. Does anyone know where this option is in the Droid Security Settings?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone else experience the shortcuts to apps that are on the SD card not reappearing on the home screen(s) after disconnecting from USB? Or does anyone have any solutions? I seem to remember them coming back most of the time (they would just have placeholders) before the Android 2.3. update.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis problem is driving me insane! I've had my LG G3 for a week now. The selling feature for me was the 128GB micro sd card option. Shortly after I got the phone, I bought a 128GB card on eBay. It arrived a few days ago. Right after I got it is when the problem started. I tried moving files from my phone to the card. But then I noticed my files disappearing on the card. So I tried a smaller 64GB card to see if the 128GB was faulty. Neither of the cards have worked. I've done everything possible like reformating, erasing, restarting my phone, using a different card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I love my Defy (still running 2.1) and have had no problems since I got it in January. I took some amazing pictures of the sunset last night and my camera and gallery both worked fine. I went to show them off this morning and all of my pictures and videos are gone! There are some random pictures of what look like arrows from internet pages, but nothing I had every seen before. I went to the TMO store and they put my sd card in another phone but they still weren't there. I am phone-stupid when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I know for a fact I did not delete them or do anything that could have deleted them. What's weird is everything else on my sd card like music and files are still there, and my homescreen still has my picture that was in the gallery Asoftech Photo Recovery, but as a single mom nursing student, $30 is hard to come by at the moment. I would use a free program but I don't know which ones are safe.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a factory unlocked version of an HTC One M8 on AT&T running 4.4.3. I noticed a week ago I was having issues with Pocketcasts freezing. It stored its files on the SD card so I moved them to the phone storage. It seems to be working fine now. This week I have been taking pictures with my HTC M8 and the gallery freezes and the picture will turn blank with a triangle in it. The camera stores pictures on the SD card also. If I touch the picture the phone locks up.
