BB Software :: 9700 Lost BB Maps After Upgrading To OS6?
May 3, 2011After I upgraded my bold 9700 to OS6, I lost my BB maps app. I search for it on my phone and I can see maps in the help section on my phone, but it is no where else!

May 27, 2011After upgrading to 6.0.0.448, the Blackberry Maps icond disappeared. It is not hidden i have checked that.I have also followed the instructions here And downloading the BB maps from this link but it is not there. I cant find it inder downloads or even application folder.

(i thiyght backing them up on my computer was a waste of time, stupid me.) is there aby way to get my apps back? Would it have saved in the app store? It says to buy the app on my phone but im scared if i click that then log in that it will recharge me.

Feb 9, 2010I upgraded my device OS yesterday, and lost my email accounts. When I tried (a gazillion times) to setup the e-mail accounts (comcast and yahoo) I get the fiollowing message when I click the verify button: "Sorry, unable to continue your session. log in again."

Lumia 1020 :: Windows Maps Not Working After Upgrading
Nov 5, 2015I signed up for Windows Insider on my Lumia 1020 and the next day I was prompted to perform a system maintenance update. I went ahead and approved it and it ended up being the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. The upgrade went smoothly. For some reason Windows Maps will not launch. This is also affecting the HERE app.

During the upgrade process, I thought it backed up her data. But it doesn't seem to be available to restore. Isn't that a normal part of the upgrade process and shouldn't it be available somewhere?
Unfortunately, she did not sync this data with any application.

BB Bold 9700 :: Maps & Diagonal Lines - Cannot Access Maps
Jan 23, 2010I have owned a Curve 8310, a Bold 9000, and now a Bold 9700. I have never been able to get Maps to work! I am always showing diagonal lines. I am on O2, I am connected to a BES server, other users on my BES can access Maps but I cannot. I know the GPS works as it locates me but the data downloaded always shows 0.0kb and all I have is them annoying diagonal lines.

Apr 30, 2010I used to use the left convenience key to lock the device, but after upgrading to 5.0, that function has disappeared. The only way I can lock my device now is by pressing the top lock button, which only locks the keyboard. Am I missing something?

Aug 1, 2011I just updated my Atrix 4g with Gingerbread 2.3.4 and it fried my contacts lists. I had over 150 phone numbers that were trashed to 34 and some of these were even munged. Is there any way to recover my phone number lists? The update even stated in one screen that the contacts would not be touched, but I now have no groups and mostly suspect phone numbers.

Mar 23, 2012I have problems with upgrading my BB 9700 to new ver. OS6. I've download fresh DM and new OS .723. I've installed everything, turn off internet connection also turn off mass storage in BB, connect BB to computer and run DM, and nothing happened. DM can't find new OS. Vendor file was deleted before I run DM. So I've tried use app loader but app loader cant see OS too!
When I choose right OS by add app, it gives me that the OS is not compatible to my BB. So I download new one, but the problem still appear. I have problem with upgrade os 5 to 6 too. Wiped BB and system can't find new OS. Fortunately DM find the OS by it self in internet (6...668). I need to upgrade it because I have only 1 language in my phone and no apps. I cant load it by app loader because app loader can see it as right to mu BB.

Jun 28, 2010Just upgraded from bold 9000 to 9700. I upgraded my OS to version .743. After that, I stopped getting visual voice mail notifications. The message is there when I dial "1", but doesn't show up at all under the VVM menu, nor do I get the visual indication(s). It did work on the AT&T OS out of the box. Second issue with this O.S.- phone does not lock when it is in the holster. I have to believe both these issues are with the .743 version of the OS, but I may be missing something. I've read others with the VVM problem, not none of the threads seem to offer a solution except to say that AT&T WAS having issues with this back in November.

I never had such a problem before with google maps which pinpoint my location much more precisely (using EDGE) than Ovi maps using GPS.
