I upgraded my device OS yesterday, and lost my email accounts. When I tried (a gazillion times) to setup the e-mail accounts (comcast and yahoo) I get the fiollowing message when I click the verify button: "Sorry, unable to continue your session. log in again."

I am still receiving messages from that accont but they go to the general mailbox for messages, not my individual email box. My other 2 email accounts have their folders and icons available
how to restore that icon to my home screen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy email icon (the one associated with an email account added via Blackberry Internet Service) has disappeared after upgrading the Blackberry Device Software via Blackberry Desktop.At the same time after the upgrade Email Setup does no work. Clicking on the setup icon -> email gets the clock timer for 1 second and then nothing.I've now downgraded back to device operating system 6.0 bundle 905 which has made the email setup icon workagain but no email icon has returned.I've requested the service books which have been successful, but no icon. I've removed and reinserted the battery.I can read messages from the general message icon which shows email is getting to the device but I'd prefer the original functionality of a seperate email icon per account appearing in the All Icons section.I think 6.0 bundle 2647 seems a liitle flaxy or something got corrupted at upgrade.

I tried to update my BlackBerry Messenger and when I hit upgrade it gave me a white screen, I took the battery off the phone to reboot it because it was stuck on that white screen, once I turned my phone back on BlackBerry Messenger was no longer there, I can't find it anywhere in my phone, and when I go to the APP world it doesn't let me "upgrade it" it says "Please try again later" I've tried to "Upgrade" multiple times and it doesn't work.

When I upgraded my wife's iPhone 3G to 5.1, I lost all her contact information and she ended up with mine.
During the upgrade process, I thought it backed up her data. But it doesn't seem to be available to restore. Isn't that a normal part of the upgrade process and shouldn't it be available somewhere?
Unfortunately, she did not sync this data with any application.

One day, a couple of weeks ago, I was asked to verify my email accoutn and nothigni I did worked. I followed instructions from my work and the IT department are baffled too. It sasys there is an error with our server. However, nothing at all has changed there and others are still getting email on their smart phones. The message I get is "cannot log in. verify your email address, user name and password. If error persisits contact you domain" which I have done and all the info is correct.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Atrix 4g with Gingerbread 2.3.4 and it fried my contacts lists. I had over 150 phone numbers that were trashed to 34 and some of these were even munged. Is there any way to recover my phone number lists? The update even stated in one screen that the contacts would not be touched, but I now have no groups and mostly suspect phone numbers.

It is amazing that this can happen without any warning. This is definitely not the first time I'm loosing all my data. It's so frustrating that I'm considering strongly to leave BlackBerry and switch to another make.Also a helpdesk you can call to and speak to a real person seems to be not in place at BlackBerry. Maybe they hate customers?

I have a Torch running on the Italian provider TIM. I recently upgraded the firmware to version 6.0.0.2534 and since then I am no longer able to access my email account settings or add a new email account. I downgraded to the previous version, but still the problem, upgraded again but no luck. Every time I try to access my e mail settings it tells me to contact my provider, and sometimes the phone just freezes. I've tried all the various battery pulls but nothing. After spending hours on the phone with my provider, they tell me that the problem is not theirs but Blackberry!
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell I have had my blackberry tour for almost a week and i put the OS5.0 .419 tonight. so far so good, but i have my regular message folder, but there is no email folder and i went and setup my email ont he phone but there is no foler that i can find to actually read them in. its not evn getting any of my email cuz i sent one to the registered address. its not abig deal as it did drive me nuts getting all my emails on it, when i only check email when im away from home on my phone. i can always log on line to do it thru the phone, its just buggin me. i had the htc touch pro before this, and the blackberry so far is a love hate thing.

I have a Blackberry 9900 running on 7.0358. I am wanting to update it to 7.1,if I go one on my phone there is no option to update my device. I have BB desktop software installed on my computer and the update 7.1 is on there but will not let me down load. It comes up with a error message saying I have to have a active subscription BB which I have as I get BB app updates just not phone updates. I am trying to upgrade my BB os but don't have a data plan. So I took sugesstion from this forum and downloaded the device os software. Installed it and deleted the "vendor.xml" file. Switched off my internet cunnection, than ran the "loader.exe". In this wizard it only showing the apps which I have installed in my phone. There is no sign off any os in this wizard.
Since upgrading, CorporateSync can no longer communicate with our MS Exchange email server at work. I am in I.T., and spent the moring with two co-workers troubleshooting this. We moved the phone into a test area with no policies, then turned on and off each policy, testing connectivity results for each one.The only policy preventing the phone from connecting to the server was, "Password Required". The phone can connect to the server only if a password is not required.
