Mar 22, 2011I have a Torch running on the Italian provider TIM. I recently upgraded the firmware to version 6.0.0.2534 and since then I am no longer able to access my email account settings or add a new email account. I downgraded to the previous version, but still the problem, upgraded again but no luck. Every time I try to access my e mail settings it tells me to contact my provider, and sometimes the phone just freezes. I've tried all the various battery pulls but nothing. After spending hours on the phone with my provider, they tell me that the problem is not theirs but Blackberry!

Mar 30, 2012I crushed my iPhone and went to download all my info to the new iPhone I could not acess the cloud because it has a old hotmail account and password assigned to it. I still use the hotmail account but the password has been changed and I cannot remember what it.was that long ago. Last November I changed my Apple ID email from hotmail to Gmail..however never changed the iCloud info..it will not let me change it now or acess the cloud ... How is this done ?

Jun 24, 2014When I first set up my iCloud acct. on my iPhone 5s (7.1.1), I had a different email address than I do now. In trying to log in, it asks me for a long-forgotten password to this old email.
How can I resolve this???? I can't even delete the account because it requires that same old password first before I can turn off "Find My Phone."

Aug 16, 2011When I try to access my email accounts, I can't. I go into Setup. Click on Email Accounts. The little clock in the center of the screen show up. That's it. I'm still on the Setup main page and nothing has happened. Sometimes, it will take me to the next page, with the two options: internet mail account or enterprise account. Click on internet mail account. It does nothing. Or takes me back to the main Setup page.

Nov 13, 2012I have three email accounts that I was able to access on my Blackberry 9900. I am no longer receiving any of the email from those accounts. This situation has existed for 8-10 days. Any time I try to access my email settings to determine if they need a 'reset' I get a message that states; 'Connecting to email setting....'which continues for some time until it tells me that I do not have access to the server. I am also unable to to access facebook, linkedin and google, all because I 'cannot access the server at this time', or in the case of Google, 'The Google Search App cannot connect'.I have contacted my provider and they have reported that all is OK at this end. All I have is a 'smart phone' that is simply acting as a phone at the moment. Good for calls and contacts but nothing elseI changed my gmail account password on line from my home computer, but have not been able to change it on my blackberry. The other two email accounts have had no changes, but no email for days.

I don't know my user name or password. I've tried various times and sometimes it comes up saying that my password is being sent to my device but I can't find where/how. In the midst of this I've had a crash and then I updated but it is still the same except my e-mail accounts are no longer sending or receiving. I can see them but they don't work so I now need to access the e-mail set up even more.?

Jan 2, 2012I connected my Bold9780 to my PC and I was told there was a device upgrade and that it would take some time. I set it off and my computer crashed (power cut). At first all seemed ok, the upgrade seems to have been successfully installed. However I cannot send or receive emails now. I have tried to reconcile and nothing at all happens. If I try to access my email via settings I just get a message saying "Your device has a problem connecting to the internet" and I'm offered RETRY or CANCEL I've retried loads of times without success. Apr 25, 2012Shortly after I got my iPhone 4S, I added my gmail account to the mail app (not the gmail app),so that I could read my email on my phone, and specifically not using the Gmail app, but using the email app, and adding the Gmail account as an Exchange Server so that my Google Contacts would sync to the device. It worked for weeks. Now, suddenly, it says wrong password whenever I try to check my email. I have removed it and added it back. I did not change anything on my email account configuration that would cause this.
Since it happened, though, I have removed the account and re-added it. It seems that it would stop me from adding the account if I were using the wrong password, but it lets me add the account with no problem, and only gives the wrong password message after that, when it tries to begin downloading emails.
I have typed in the password enough times today to make sure that I am typing it in correctly. I have been able to log into my gmail account via the web successfully (proving that I do know my own password). I even downloaded and installed the gmail app and was able to use it to get to my email. But that leaves my phone with zero contacts, because I keep all my contacts in Google Contacts, and the Gmail app doesn't seem to add any contacts to the contacts list on the phone. I need it to work the way it was set up & working before today. I don't know if Apple changed something, if Google changed something, or what. I would think that there would be others using this functionality who may be similarly stuck.
So my question is: How can I access my Gmail account from my iphone and have my google contacts brought into the phone's contact list, and constantly synchronized with Google contacts, like I had going before today? With the addition of iCloud, it gets really confusing really quick. The simple solution that I was using was so nice. I will be sad if it is gone for good...
