how to stop blackbery curve sending duplicates of sms messages to contacts, it is very annoying to get the same message 6 times in 5 minutes!I have tried removing battery but still doing it!
View 1 RepliesJust upgraded from Curve 8520 to Curve 9360, and I'm a little disappointed at the moment. Firstly, the battery doesn't last half as long, and secondly, its sending duplicate text in an email.
E.g.:
I send an email saying : Hi, how are you?.
What it really sends is : Hi, how are you? Hi, how are you? </div>
So I've had my s6 since April when it came out. I'm on virgin mobile in Canada. 3 days ago it started telling me my messages have failed to send and sometimes I'd get the 'service currently not available will resend when network becomes available'. But the thing is when I would get those messages the texts were actually going through and the phone would send duplicates of these messages without my input. Now it's sending duplicates regardless if I get those failed message notifications. I've factory reset the phone twice. I've hooked it up to the computer to see what's going on and to see if there is an update. Both the computer and the auto update option say I'm up to date. Phone is not rooted. Running Android 5.0.1. I've called tech assist and I've replaced the sim card.

Sometimes it will send multiple duplicate copies of an SMS text. I mean 4 or 5 copies of the same message, usually straight after 1 another. However, yesterday, I restarted my phone, as GPS would not turn off, and then shortly after I got a text from a friend asking why I has sent her a message about the weather.
I downloaded the new OS but when I installed, I had to input all the details from my contacts list. Now I have two duplicate contact lists for each of my three email accounts. The real problem is that I cannot send a new email. I can reply to anything but anything new I try to write fails. Once I have hit sent, the top of the message show: Sent Using: Unknown

I just recently texted a friend in Sudan and apparently she is receiving the same text message over and over systematically every hour, it isn't registering in my sent messages and I don't know whether I'm being charged for this? Does anyone know how to stop it?

Like two phone numbers from two different contacts under ONE new contact, while still keeping the other two. I had 204 contacts, and now my phoen says I have 670. WTF. Desktop manager let me replace the addresses with the one from my previous backup, but now it won't let me do it again. HELP.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have duplicated contacts in my BB Curve 8900. The count given by BB is 1120 (my address book) but it seems it is more 3300 (3 times each). About 15 of them are not duplicated.It is synchronized with Lotus Notes with BES at the office (I think). All was perfect for many weeks. I install Desktop Manager at home and I twice export an ASCII file of my contacts to have them in Excel. Then my contacts were 2 times duplicated.
I try both solutions suggested on forums :
- RSET in Options on device : it wipes contacts and repopulate them later. But they were always present in the BB, even if in the options I can read Numbers :
- In Desktop Manager, Advanced option under Backup and Restore, I clear contacts (Address book, and Address book all) : databases show as empty with no records, but records are still there twice before repopulating. After that, each contact is present 3 times.
I have been looking for a solution on many forums without solving my problem even with many topics talking about it. I would like to remove all contacts from the address book and resync after.Anyone have any ideas about how to wipe Contacts that refuse to be wiped?
I have the BB Curve 9300 and each time it is rebooted, I end up with duplicate copies of the text messages I have in the saved messages folder. When I delete one of the duplicate copies, I end up with some messages that cannot be opened/read.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently had to reformat my 8900 and for some reason after setting up my gmail account i an receiving one copy of each email in my gmail folder and also recieving another copy of the same email in my messages folder. this means that i really am recieving 1 in the email folder and 2copies of the same email in the messages folder. i am using BIS and have tried deleting and re-adding the email account and also resending the service books. i tried looking around but couldn't see the same problem which makes me think it's something simple I'm missing. it's nothing to do with sent messages which i have no problems with.

The blackberry keeps duplicating messages in the message folder as well as the text message location, which means listening to the message, then deleting the message from voice mail. I recently discovered that I am not able to send pictures using BBM to my husband. I am able to send pictures via BBM to ALL my other contacts.I have removed him as a contact and re-added him.I have deleted BBM entirely and re-downloaded it using APP world and re added contacts.None of these seem to work. And my husband is the only person I can't share photo's with...and is the person whom I share photo's with the most of our child.

Originally I received error messages about missing 'peripheral devices', but I've since followed instruction to install them, and resolved that error. I thought this would enable me to send and receive files to/from my BB without issue, but the "sending" part still won't work. I've also tried removing my BB from my Laptop's Devices, and vise versa, then re-pairing them. This also doesn't seem to have any effect.
