Nokia :: Replying And Sending Text Messages Slow
Aug 8, 2010Just recently when I click reply for a text message it takes between 10-30 seconds to start a new message. Then when I click the send button, it displays the "Sending Message" screen for about the same time, before finally sending the message.The phone was recently wiped by Nokia Care Centre because of a problem with text messages rebooting the phone. This issue is now occuring as well, but mostly at night?Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? It has firmware 12.0.110 installed.

Aug 20, 2011i've had my blackberry for 5 months now and bbm has always worked fine up until the other day, it randomly stopped sending messages, it will send one every now and then but usually just shows the clock icon for hours, I tried deleting bbm from the core applications and re-installing it but i'm still having the exact same problem but now i can't see anyones display pictures. I can still recieve messages fine though

The wifi works fine with viber and facebook apps and it works with internet browsing, but I can't send messages using Whatsapp. I am not receiving friends' messages either. When I check my account status for Whatsapp, it says, "Your account type could not be determined. The most common explanation is that you have not been able to connect to the server yet."

Quite a while ago (months) I had an email from RIM / blackberry whatever saying there was a software update (OS 5) and to follow the links to upgrade etc or use the wireless update on my phone - which just told me there were no new updates. After researching for a bit I found what I thought would allow me to get the OS software but I had to fill in 'company name' to continue (mandatory box to fill in) I'm just a student I have no company2. When I download specific apps my BB just buggers up totally, any theme not by RIM makes my BB run incredibly SLOW and new messages cannot be viewed despite the notification appearing. This has happened with apps such as paypal and subway card which you would think would work well.
This has even happened with the new spring themes from RIM - so I have to remove them as soon as downloading them. May 19, 2012My BBM has stopped sending or recieving messages.Whenever I try to send a message, it makes the sending symbol that looks like ))) but then a big red cross like this X comes up. I've tried re-booting about 10 times, and also updating my version of BBM to the newest possible version, but nothing has worked. It's not a connection issue, because my internet, 3G, Facebook, Twitter, Texts and Emails are all working. I've tried connecting my phone to my wifi instead of the 3G I pay for, but with still no luck. Also, my data usage is fully topped up and nothing wrong with my service provider O2.

Jan 16, 2010Does anyone have problems sending photos using text messages?? Sometimes people receive them and other times they do not. I have one person that has an iphone and she can never receive a photo from me but yet she can send them fine. I just had someone send me a photo just now and I was trying to forward it to everyone on my contact list and it would not send it. Very frustrating. I never had this problem on my other phones.

The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.
BB Curve 83xx :: Slow OS Or Slow Phone?
Jan 22, 2010My phone has gotten to where when I am typing a text message it'll get so slow and almost freeze up and just stop and I got to wait and let it come back before I finish. I am running .131 on my Alltel 8330. Also, the 507 error I believe it is, happens to me a lot & I have had to completely reinstall the whole OS so many times. My battery doesn't really last very long at all. It doesn't compare to many that I hear about & my signal just isn't that great. Sometimes it runs good & won't really be that slow or lag but these past couple days it has been lagging bad & even with scrolling. Memory is NOT an issue I can reboot up with 45 & it'll go down to around 39 throughout the day.
I've tried .127 OS that my phone came with, used .131, used a hybrid before and tried .169 but the notification problem is too annoying.

Oct 24, 2013I'm having trouble with my text messages, using the stock Sense app. It seems that it is getting progressively slower as well. Whenever I touch the "To" field to add an addressee it takes a good 2 or 3 seconds for options to come up. Then after I press send, it can take another 2 or 3 seconds for the text to actually be sent. It is quite annoying given the horsepower under the hood and especially when I'm trying to send messages to different people rather quickly. I shouldn't have to wait on the app...there shouldn't be delays in getting a simple text message out.

I have sent a few iMessages to a person but some of them have been sent as SMS text messages, probably because of bad network. Anyway, all of them have been read (that is what the read receipts account) and yet the line on the top of the screen says 'Sending...' ! But there is nothing to send anymore!
