Nov 13, 2012My Blackberry 8520 v5 is playing up. Receives messages and SMS, but when I try to open the SMS Icon, the machine just freezes . I cannot read or send an SMS or Message.

BB Curve :: Faulty Keypad/buttons, Phone Freezes?
Apr 14, 2011wandered if someone could diagnose what's up with my BB, curve 8520 and maybe also gimmie a solution to my problems! ... Here's pretty much all of it ... I think, I know a lot of you can relate because this seems to be a very popular problem...Bout a week ago my bb randomly started messin me about, first the 'L' key along with the 'alt' key and then also the 'A' key, they were stuttering, typing on there own, sometimes wouldn't work at all, they would even pop up when I typed a different key! also there would be times were my phone would freeze and I'd have to hold down a button for roughly 10 seconds to get a response, also all buttons including mute, side buttons, keypad etc.. would stop working all together, only track bar would work but I could only scroll, I also cannot use my phone whilst chargers in, on rare occasions my phone fixes itself, then brakes around 5-10 mins later

Jul 13, 2010I have a Curve 8530 and have it syncronized with my Gmail account. About a month ago I enabled the password protection option on my phone and now it will freeze about 3-4 times a week when I try to unlock the phone.I haven't pinpointed it exactly, but it seems to happen more frequently when I lock the keyboard by pressing and holding the * key along with the elapsed time for a Security Timeout happening. My screen displays a dialogue box that says "Keypad is locked. Press the Mute button to unlock." I press the Mute button, and a black dialogue box appears behind the 'Keypad is locked." one, and everything freezes. No buttons do anything.The only thing I can do is take the battery out, replace it, and wait 5 minutes for the phone to reboot.The only thing I could think of was to disable the password protection, but now there is a little lock next to the selected 'enable' password option. I am a private user and do not use a company BES. Could it be that synching with Gmail has the same effect as a security policy through a BES? And what could be causing my phone to freeze up so frequently?

Jul 1, 2011Had a phone call this morning and my phone fronze, didnt display the call screen but allowed me to answer the call.
Ever since then the phone has been freezing when slid open. Its fine when I keep it closed and just use the touch screen though.
Updated to the latest OS last week (V6.0.0.534).
Today I've:
Tried reboot.
Tried security wipe.
Tried rolling back to last OS release.
Tried latest OS.
Nothing works, still freezing when slid open. The screen has gone strange a couple of times, hard to explain but its green/red/blue colour only, and blurred.

Jan 13, 2010I bought an N900 yesterday and during install, the thing went down although it was plugged in. I let it down and tried to load the battery all night long. This morning, I rebooted but it kept freezing on the 5 well known dots.
I searched how to flash the N900 and succeeded in it. Problem is that, as soon as it's booted, it reboots right away.Can it be that the battery is dead? After loading a whole night long, the battery should be fully charged, no?Also: if the battery is broken, it doesn't give current through to the machine, is that possible?
Remark: sometimes the device says "internal application error: camera application closed". But that only happens once in a while and I guess it is due to all the previous reboots it did...

After that I can power my phone back on again and all is good until the next time it freezes.I noticed this sometime happens when I am using the wall charger. I will plug the phone in before bed (it’s turned on), and the next morning when I take it off the charger, the phone will not power on. I have to remove the battery as indicated above.

A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. Dec 14, 2012I just got my new lumia 920, and apperently my store was in sweeden.So i got the phone, turned it on and changed the language to norwegian, it freezes up all the time. and i have to do a hard reset (volume down + powerbutton)
And then i did a factory reset.. and i thought.. maybe it works okey if i leave it on sweedish..
So i turned it back to norwegian and it started to freeze up again. And why do the clock reset when doing a hard reset ? thats the only thing that reset back to factory default when i do hard reset.
And for some reason it looks like it's working okey now when the battery is less than 14 %, wich make my phone kind of useless..
