I am not able to use my phone lock screen. When I tries to lock then a sign of lock comes and screen freeze. And on pressing back button the phone comes back to the home screen.
View 1 Repliesmy screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

I have tried to use Sony PC Companion but for that you need to have your screen unlocked and I can't unlock it because I don't know the pattern. When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm a new user, just got the SE XPERIA RAY yesterday, the phone has a great feature of locking the screen during a call (whether initiated or received) until the user clicks the home button. however upon receiving calls the screen locks (black screen), the home button doesnt unlock the screen and it stays that was after the call ends, until it restarts or i remove the battery. i removed the battery, sim and SD card. I updated the software then made a master reset, nothing works... should i replace the phone? or is there something else to try?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tap "ok" and the message comes back again. The strange thing is that the message is in spanish (I have my phone in English and that the lockscreen photo has dissapeared and the xperia theme is there now.
It seems like the phone is working ok in the background, but I cannot access the homescreen.
I can take screenshots, change the volume, etc. and as I could access the phone's internal and sdcard I made all the backups as possible.
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:
1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
So yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

The only way to get the phone to operate is to remove the battery and to replace it for the phone to start up again.This allows you to operate the phone until it goes dark again. The battery is showing as almost fully charged so it is not a battery problem and I am running the latest software v7.0.0.585.This does not happen when the phone is busy charging!

I just press the multi tasking button to force-close it. Also tried to force stop the app before relaunching it, same problem. Tried to restart the phone via the power button, however it takes longer time than normal before it boots up again, like 3 to 5 minutes. What could be the cause of this issue?

For example if I play a YouTube video it loads fine, it starts to play but about 10 secs in the screen freezes yet the audio continues. Other issues also occur when I try to skip parts of a video it just refuses to load. Its occurring throughout all videos on all formats no matter if I go through a browser. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two email accounts on my storm, both Gmail. On account A, I can click on the symbol on the homescreen and open up the inbox and check my messages. Everything works normally.
On account B, I try to click on the inbox in the homescreen and my BB freezes. After I touch/click on the inbox and try to open it, the whole screen freezes and it won't respond to my touch, even if I hit the escape or BB buttons. If I hit the End (red) button, everything starts back normally. Also, if I hit the send (green) button, the phone app pops up and everything works again.Anybody have any ideas? I tried a battery pull and that didn't seem to work, neither did resetting the host routing table or service log.

Earlier today after I woke up, I was just gonna check something on my phone, when I was met with several errors saying that this and that programmed had stopped working. I chose the option "ok" on all of them because the other option report would not really get me anywhere. The thing was these errors kept coming repeating themselves (same apps getting errors repeatedly).
So after 10 min of just pressing ok on these errors I decided to reboot my phone, but when I came to the startup it stops/freezes on the SONY EXPERIA display. I can't trun it off with the on/off button, so I searched everywhere on the internet about this issue but none of the classic hold volume down + volume up + on/off button to turn it off gets me past the freeze after it goes off.
What'sApp is crashing may times after the latest update. It freezes the whole phone and then restarting it happened about 21 times tell now and finally it crashed and i can't login anymore ...
With every restart or every time i try to login it keep telling me ( WhatsApp is not responding Report , OK ) tryed to reset many times and still facing the same problem ...
So i tryed to remove the app and reinstall it, then i face that i can't reinstall it anymore. It keep telling me App not installed via Google Play or as APK file . What should I do ?
the phone was purchased 4 months ago and regularly freezes and crashes when using it. The software also sometimes will perform the wrong function when an icon or button on the phone is pressed. I have tried updating the software to see if that would help but for the last 2 weeks I have been told that the Update Centre is overloaded and I can't download the new software.

Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen I got the first lollipop Update I had an option to disable the lock screen completely on my z3 compact, ever since this recent update to fix the bugs in lollipops it only gives me the option to set a slide lock screen or PIN or password but not completely disable it so if I try to use any third party lock screen I have to first unlock the Sony one before it will go to that one.
my other issue is with the throw, screen mirroring s only once since I've had this phone have I been able to scan and have devices come up I have a smart TV and that came up but everytime I try to do it now it just says no devices found every single time
when i press the lock button at the top of the phone to lock it, or the backlight switches off when it is idle, the phonee freezes. when i press the lock button to unlock it (or press any other key) the keys and trackpad light up, but the screen stays blank. after a few battery pulls i finally get the phone to reboot and have to do this every time. how do i fix this?
