I have a iphone 3gs on AT&T and I updated to IOS 5.1.1 a week ago and my phone freezes at the lock screen and when I go to turn it off I can't even do that, I've tried resetting it multiple times and it doesn't do any good.

my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a stock unrooted Nexus 5. yesterday I updated to 5.1 and now its showing me a PIN Lock Screen (PLS). I did not use a PLS before the 5.1 update and I've never set up a PIN. Now I can't get in! I enter a random PIN and it says "Wrong PIN". I tried using Android Device Manager and I logged in and it found my phone. Then I followed the instructions and hit Lock and entered in a new PIN and it said "Since Google has already verified that a lock screen is already set, the password you entered won't be needed". What?!. What does this mean? How can I get back in without erasing all my data?

The left portion of the image is the unlocked state; as you can see the notifications show up in the upper left corner of the screen. The right portion is the locked screen, which hides the notifications previously shown. The notifications used to show in both of the screens but after a recent OS update they stopped showing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have updated my Torch 9810 to the new Telus 7.1 OS and it renders it unusable. I have tried reinstalling the OS several times, to no avail. It did that once with 7.0 and I reinstalled it and it worked great. I also tried to use app loader and I couldn't launch it, it said the file exists already and it stopped. I want the 7.1 features, but it seems to kill my 9810. The screen is semi functional for about 30 seconds with glitches then it freezes the screen and I can only use the cursor and the key board to do anything. I down graded back to 7.0 and now it works fine.

I was able to shut my phone off and then when I turned it back on it went as far as the charm ring and screen that says "Boost Mobile" with the symbol. That's it. The phone is frozen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed LockInfo a while ago. I got everything working fine, downloaded it and plugins fine. I got them all from the same repo as I was advised to do that, and everything seemed to be working fine. Everything was up to date etc.
I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?
I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
So I have been searching & have even spent money on trying to find a dot lock for the apple iphone 4s and dont seem to find it , does apple have it ? why or why not ?

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed

2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
I am using iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.1 on it. I encountered two problems after updating to iOS 8.0.Â
1. My screen freezes at Phone App which causes home button to stop working, luckily i can make calls on the phone app. Lock screen works but swipe screen and password gets disabled which directly opens phone app if I lock and unlock phone with lock button. Phone works after I switch it off and restart. I tried restoring phone couple of times but in vain. Same problem persists.Â
2. When I make or attend calls with my EarPods on and press lock button, phone automatically restarts.

After I updated yesterday to 4.1 my phone restarted and it was charging up from the usb (the big green battery was on the screen). I disconnected the phone by itunes and when I tried to unlock it the screen was black!
I have tried holding the sleep and power buttons down for 2 minutes but still nothing. The phone is completely dead!
Any ideas on what I can do? It's probably going to be a swap for a new phone in the apple store today, but I really need to get some stuff of it. Would this be possible? Thanks

I downloaded an ap-monitoring ap that sends an alarm when aps are operating over a selected percentage of CPU and "Contacts New Storage" is constantly alarming at sometimes over 70%. The main problem is when I am in the Text Messaging screen it completely freezes before I can open a conversation. Also, if I want to start a new text conversation the To: field won't let me copy from my contacts or even type in a number. the phone also freezes when I am trying to look up a number in the contacts to make a call and while I am on a call I can't hit end sometimes. There is also an over-all sluggishness to the phone but I think that is because of the low volume CPU. I am upgraded to 2.1. I have tried to reboot. And reset the phone completely. I wonder if there is a way I can turn off or delete motoblur and just use the android?

I just updated to the OS on my Blackberry Storm 2 and I seem to have lost the "lock" icon on my home screen. What the heck!!! Two questions.... does anyone know how to fix this... or does anyone know how I can go back to the last OS version I was using when I still have my "lock" icon. Everything's been working spectacularly until today.This morning I changed the security settings for the AT&T Live TV app and the Pandora app. It then asked for a reboot, which I allowed. The phone turns off, back on to the reboot screen (with the BB logo and "BlackBerry") along with the reboot loading bar on the bottomThe thing is, the bar loads completely and that's it, it stays frozen there Nothing else loads. I took out the battery and retried. Several times. Now I am just letting it sit there, load bar completely loaded, having done nothing but be frozen for about an hour now.
