IPhone 5 :: Lock Button Freezes
Sep 5, 2014My iPhone 5 lock button presses fine and is smooth but when I press the button it screenshots and then freezes both the home and lock buttons from working.

May 16, 2012I have a iphone 3gs on AT&T and I updated to IOS 5.1.1 a week ago and my phone freezes at the lock screen and when I go to turn it off I can't even do that, I've tried resetting it multiple times and it doesn't do any good.

Jul 1, 2014I attempted to update my iPhone 4s to iOS 7.1.2 but it decided to freeze at about 25%. My sleep wake button is not working so I can't even reboot my iphone as per the online forum advice. Â
The thing is I'm now overseas in Rome and I have been trying to look for apple store around - they are inaccessible from my current schedule. I have got photos I have taken today in rome and also I will need my iphone for the rest of my trip. Â
I have now unplugged the phone from the main to allow the battery to drain (or is this the right thing to do?) - will the phone reboot to normal after this?

(From wear and tear) It's out of warrantee so apple won't fix it, a genius did tell me to replace the button, so i ordered the parts from I-fixit and followed their guide. What am i missing here? is there a part that needs to be fixed other than the actual button?
