my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

The phone itself is great, However after going through setting im trying to setup the Facebook lock screen I have gone through the options opened the app and selected how I want it to look but when I lock the phone and open it all I get is a blue screen with the Facebook logo Date and time no picture from Facebook, just a blank blue screen .

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone's screen turns black a number of times now. Navigation keys are working and lights up. I can still hear the alarms and notification sounds. It sometimes takes more than 24 hours to resume to its normal function itself. Soft reset (vol down + power button) is a hit and miss and most of the time I'm getting the screen below.
I tried to connect the phone to a PC but it did not recognized because the phone is locked. I don't know if there's another way to unlock it.
How do you reboot the Lumia 1020 after it freezes? I had it freeze once before and it eventually restarted after maybe 10 minutes.
I just updated my phone and it worked fine but all of a sudden it seems to be locked up. The glance display works, but no button works. If I plug in the charger, the log in display shows but it froze once I put in the 4th digit. Now it shows all digits once the display turns off and I plug it back in.
I had just been using my Nokia Lumia 1020 with the new 8.1 update. I had left open a webpage I was going to go back to (running on wifi, not my data). Pushed the power button to wake it up and now all I see or can do is view a static screen. It flashes on and off by itself ever so often. What should I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo the other day my lock button stopped locking my phone. However if I hold it down it will still let me turn it off (by dragging down), but then it turns on again. I can't unlock it by double tapping the screen either. When I plug it in to my computer it isn't recognized by the "windows phone app" for desktop, but it turns the screen on so I can use it for a bit. I can't turn it off and then plug it in because it always turns back on, and sometimes I can't regular turn it off, I have to hold the down volume button and the lock button to hard restart it.

I then delete a couple applications off the phone such as Myspace and Facebook to free some memory. Then phone had to be rebooted to complete deletion. After reboot, the phone screen turned white and froze. To unfreeze I had to remove the battery. When I put the battery back in, it would not turn on anymore. Could the update have fried the phone altogether?

Its like a gradient from left to right, if you open the keyboard it's very apparent its like a gradient from white to gray. Looks like the left hand side of the screen is going overdrive and going as bright as it can almost?

Just went back to the 1020, is there a way for the glance screen not be seen unless I wave my hand over the phone or did they remove that feature? For some reason I can't find it in the settings, just the option to leave it on for 15 min.
