The screen on the phone will go black. I do not know if its an application but I have talked to other EVO 3D users and this never happens to them. I already had exchanged my phone but it keeps happening. I do not know if it has to do with something I had downloaded from the market..

My bold 9900 has recently started to go dark right after use. Sometimes it goes dark and still rings but I cannot see the caller ID but can answer and speak. At times the screen turns back on after two minutes, other times I have to do a battery pull. This has only started after I installed the official Bell Mobility OS 7.1.0.267 update a few days ago.

At first it didn't do this, however, it has been around 10 days since it started blanking out. It would take around 15 minutes or more before I can see the normal screen again. I thought it was just a normal "blackout" since some time it tends to do that, but it turned out it wasn't. Sometimes when I use it, it would also blank out, which is annoying especially when I'm using the messenger/texting..

It's very frustrating that every time I go to do anything on my phone either the screen is frozen or its updating. It wont even let me turn the screen on unless I open the keypad - freezes and updates when trying to hang up a call- takes two minutes to prep phone for every use.

View 1 Replies View Relatedat several times a day a call alert shows up and the iPhone freezes. The Accept or Cancel buttons offered by the alert does not work nor the the home button, nor the restart button. My only way out is to force-restart the phone. While the call alert is on, (By "call alert" I am referring to a full black screen that displays a message saying something like "you have received a call from ###-####") the iPhone wont go to sleep, it overheats and the battery runs out fast. Maybe related to this problem... who knows... is that my Bluetooth does not work properly. Cant pair with a Jabra EasyGo headset. I have fully restored the system and the problem is still there.

My Torch freezes constantly...like every time I use it. I end up waiting for it to unfreeze. I get a small black box with a timer and it's been happening more and more. What the reason for this might be?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads.What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus?
2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

The main problem is when I am in the Text Messaging screen it completely freezes before I can open a conversation. Also, if I want to start a new text conversation the To: field won't let me copy from my contacts or even type in a number. the phone also freezes when I am trying to look up a number in the contacts to make a call and while I am on a call I can't hit end sometimes. There is also an over-all sluggishness to the phone but I think that is because of the low volume CPU. I am upgraded to 2.1. I have tried to reboot. And reset the phone completely. I wonder if there is a way I can turn off or delete motoblur and just use the android?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again
I got an iPhone 5s what the screen is totally black, but the touch screen and other functions are still working, has been replaced the LCD but it keep doing the same way.

I am using iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.1 on it. I encountered two problems after updating to iOS 8.0.Â
1. My screen freezes at Phone App which causes home button to stop working, luckily i can make calls on the phone app. Lock screen works but swipe screen and password gets disabled which directly opens phone app if I lock and unlock phone with lock button. Phone works after I switch it off and restart. I tried restoring phone couple of times but in vain. Same problem persists.Â
2. When I make or attend calls with my EarPods on and press lock button, phone automatically restarts.

But I am at a fork in the road:(this is the thrid time the screen has done this)Last night I went to check my phone and it appeared to be off, my power button does not work so I have to plug it in to turn it on. But the charger light was on so that meant the phone was already on. the buttons lit up still as well. Being this is not the first time I took the battery out for about an hour and put it back in, plugged it in, and still nothing. But when i recieved a call I could answer the call like the screen was working but still was not on. I left the battery out all night from 8pm-6am and still nothing but i can still answer the calls. Everything's been working spectacularly until today.This morning I changed the security settings for the AT&T Live TV app and the Pandora app. It then asked for a reboot, which I allowed. The phone turns off, back on to the reboot screen (with the BB logo and "BlackBerry") along with the reboot loading bar on the bottomThe thing is, the bar loads completely and that's it, it stays frozen there Nothing else loads. I took out the battery and retried. Several times. Now I am just letting it sit there, load bar completely loaded, having done nothing but be frozen for about an hour now.

The phone will ring, I'll answer the call and have the conversation, no problem. But when it comes to ending the call, the screen freezes with 'Joe Bloggs Calling' on the screen and I have to turn the phone off to resolve it. (no response from the screen)
