I have purchased my phone about 2 weeks back, did not face any problems at all. Untill today, I was just messaging with my phone, than decided to run to some other errands. When I got back it had been shut off. When I rebooted it, the red led turns on for a moment and the device starts up, the bar though just stops and freezes a quarter of the way though. Tryed rebooting a couple of times.
View 9 RepliesWhen ever I start my camera it locks on the first image when the camera app starts. So, moving around or adjusting to the exact picture you want is impossible, because the screen is frozen with that original image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis might be a bug because I noticed once I plug the charger in my Z2 and try to start an app (say Clash of Clans) a white screen just slides through and nothing happens. I just press the multi tasking button to force-close it. Also tried to force stop the app before relaunching it, same problem. Tried to restart the phone via the power button, however it takes longer time than normal before it boots up again, like 3 to 5 minutes. What could be the cause of this issue?

I've tried rebooting it while the charger is connected, removed the battery, put it back...everything! Seriously. At times the screen turns back on after two minutes, other times I have to do a battery pull. This has only started after I installed the official Bell Mobility OS 7.1.0.267 update a few days ago.

At first it didn't do this, however, it has been around 10 days since it started blanking out. It would take around 15 minutes or more before I can see the normal screen again. I thought it was just a normal "blackout" since some time it tends to do that, but it turned out it wasn't. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday my phone got cut off (forgot to make a payment. Sue me). I called ATT, made the payment and got the phone up and running. Problem was, my blackberry browser, ubertwitter and Facebook didn't work. But for some reason my opera mini did work. I called ATT and they did whatever it is they do and my phone worked again. This morning my phone froze. It stayed on the main screen and didn't do anything else. I did a battery pull and got the same thing. Now I can't even do a wipe because the phone stops responding when it gets to the main screen and my desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone when I plug it in. Can anyone help? I'm starting to wish I had just bought a damned iPhone.

The only way to get the phone to operate is to remove the battery and to replace it for the phone to start up again.This allows you to operate the phone until it goes dark again. The battery is showing as almost fully charged so it is not a battery problem and I am running the latest software v7.0.0.585.This does not happen when the phone is busy charging!
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night i went to sleep with my blackberry turned on with full battery, this morning when i woke up no more than 6 hours later my phone was stuck on the start up/ loading screen with the blackberry logo and the loading bar 2/3 the way complete. The phone continues to stay at 2/3 the way finished and will not proceed with the booting up of the smart phone.
I'm not sure how it decided to turn off by itself durring the night, or why it will not boot up correctly. I've tried restarting it by taking out the battery and putting it back in numerous times but it will only load up to about 2/3 the way complete.
I have all my contacts synced with my gmail account and my app data is really not important to me so if there is a way to wipe out the device i would be ok with that option.
I've never dropped the phone, or damaged it in any way so this problem must be something technical. This is the second bold 9700 that i've had in the past 6 months, I havn't even had this phone for a whole month yet. I had to get this phone as a replacement for my original 9700 because of reoccuring technical issues.
So my 9700 today decides to act up. And now on re-boot/battery pull the progress bar on the black 'BlackBerry" boot up screen freezes at ~ 60% complete...UGH!!! HELP!!!!ATT US stock OS...

Sometime its so embarrassing when someone ask the phone for a call or I'm saving some ones contact. And seriously then N900 to me seems like a brick & feels like to throw it away (I have done this with few Nokias)
I have even tried rebooting but doesn't help. Happens now and then & stays for few days. (specially if I'm not connected to internet). Please don't take me otherwise I love Nokia and N900.

i was navigating with my phone the other day and i think the battery was low. Everything was running very slowely and somehow i accidentally deleted the first mail folder on the start screen. I can't remember what that folder was called but it included all the email addresses that i have plus messages as far as phone messages...it was a sort of summary folder i think. So is there a way to restore it? I didn't see that i was deleting or moving. Just saw the results of the folder not being present anymore.
The other problem that has existed since i have had this phone is that two of the email addresses never show the emails. If i go into the folder it says simply *no messages* and yet there is at the bottom of the screen what you see in the attached image....that there is a message. Plus at the top there is a little notification icon saying the number of unread messages.
My blackberry froze for more than ten minutes so I turned it off and since then it can't start properly. It loads the Blackberry screen then seems to ask for an autorisation for an app but I can't even see which one since it turns off immediately displaying the SFR (my operator) screen. Then again without me touching it red light, then BB screen and close, and it carries on and on and on...

I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI downloaded an ap-monitoring ap that sends an alarm when aps are operating over a selected percentage of CPU and "Contacts New Storage" is constantly alarming at sometimes over 70%. The main problem is when I am in the Text Messaging screen it completely freezes before I can open a conversation. Also, if I want to start a new text conversation the To: field won't let me copy from my contacts or even type in a number. the phone also freezes when I am trying to look up a number in the contacts to make a call and while I am on a call I can't hit end sometimes. There is also an over-all sluggishness to the phone but I think that is because of the low volume CPU. I am upgraded to 2.1. I have tried to reboot. And reset the phone completely. I wonder if there is a way I can turn off or delete motoblur and just use the android?

1. My screen freezes at Phone App which causes home button to stop working, luckily i can make calls on the phone app. Lock screen works but swipe screen and password gets disabled which directly opens phone app if I lock and unlock phone with lock button. Phone works after I switch it off and restart. I tried restoring phone couple of times but in vain. Same problem persists.Â
2. When I make or attend calls with my EarPods on and press lock button, phone automatically restarts.

Everything's been working spectacularly until today.This morning I changed the security settings for the AT&T Live TV app and the Pandora app. It then asked for a reboot, which I allowed. I can not turn off reminder.When I press lock button (lock switch) the screen lights up and working fine until display light goes out.If I turn light off with lock switch I do not have that problem. I have V 22.0.110 and auto. keyguard on off.The problem with the screen freezing is very annoying if I forget to press lock button.
