Lumia 1020 :: How To Reboot The Phone When It Freezes
Aug 24, 2014How do you reboot the Lumia 1020 after it freezes? I had it freeze once before and it eventually restarted after maybe 10 minutes.
I just updated my phone and it worked fine but all of a sudden it seems to be locked up. The glance display works, but no button works. If I plug in the charger, the log in display shows but it froze once I put in the 4th digit. Now it shows all digits once the display turns off and I plug it back in.

Dec 14, 2012I just got my new lumia 920, and apperently my store was in sweeden.So i got the phone, turned it on and changed the language to norwegian, it freezes up all the time. and i have to do a hard reset (volume down + powerbutton)
And then i did a factory reset.. and i thought.. maybe it works okey if i leave it on sweedish..
So i turned it back to norwegian and it started to freeze up again. And why do the clock reset when doing a hard reset ? thats the only thing that reset back to factory default when i do hard reset.
And for some reason it looks like it's working okey now when the battery is less than 14 %, wich make my phone kind of useless..

Dec 23, 2011Sometimes my touchscreen freezes up when im unlocking the phone, it may happen when sliding up the lock screen or when entering the password i set for it to unlock.I have to turn my screen off and back on again to get it to work properly again.It's not a huge problem, but it gets irritating when receiving a call and not being able to answer it without turning your screen off and on.
This started happening recently, already tried a factory reset which didnt work obviously.Deleted all applications i had installed, and made sure all applications were closed properly by using the back button.

Jun 25, 2011Came back home and rebooted it while it was connected to the charger. Now it won't start. It starts to boot, plays the Nokia hand shake video clip then freezes. I've tried rebooting it while the charger is connected, removed the battery, put it back...everything! Seriously. Nov 17, 2011I have purchased my phone about 2 weeks back, did not face any problems at all. Untill today, I was just messaging with my phone, than decided to run to some other errands. When I got back it had been shut off. When I rebooted it, the red led turns on for a moment and the device starts up, the bar though just stops and freezes a quarter of the way though. Lumia 1020 :: Screen Froze On Phone - Freezes Up Again As Soon As The Screen Lock Is Activated
Jan 4, 2014my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

I have pictures and music saved on the card while apps are saved on the device storage but i noticed on the storage usage i have 1.85GB allocated for Apps & games on the card. Looking at the details there's no apps found on the card.

Dec 30, 2015I'm randomly getting this message in a grey box in the middle of the screen on my AT&T 950: "Restart Required. Your Phone's settings or the SIM card have changed. Restart your phone to complete the installation." Then there are two buttons - "Restart" and "Later". Its not consistent, but I just rebooted as it said, launched the phone app and it appeared again. It doesn't seem to be affecting any functionality though. It appears to have started once I installed the SD card. In fact, I'd argue that a lot of the glitches on my 950 started after I installed the SD card.

I formatted the card on my PC after these failings, readily recognized there....and did a quick format and a soft reset, as well as a Hard Reset. Still the phone would not recognize the Card. More Reading. Back to the PC did a "slow" Format, turned off the phone and did a hard reset. At the large exclamation point I inserted the SD card and pushed the series of buttons to begin the "turning on of the phone". In my earlier formats and resets I didn't attempt to install the card until after the reset had been completed. My thinking in the last instance was "maybe" the phone would re-format the card.
