HTC One M7 :: Camera Screen Freezes With First Image On Start Up
Nov 14, 2013
When ever I start my camera it locks on the first image when the camera app starts. So, moving around or adjusting to the exact picture you want is impossible, because the screen is frozen with that original image.
I have an iPhone 4s, currently with iOS 5.1. I use it with my desktop computer which runs Windows Vista (and has the latest iTunes installed 10.6), and my laptop, which has Windows 7 and the latest iTunes. I use iCloud and Photo Stream primarily with the desktop computer. Since receiving the iPhone on launch day, (Nov...14?, 2011), I've had to "Set [it] up as new" twice, most recently this morning. After setting it up as new, the Camera Roll starts over with pictures at IMG_0001.JPG. That means, that, after my first picture after this latest reset, I'll have three pictures all initially named IMG_0001.JPG, and instead, I'll have IMG_0001.JPG, IMG_0001 (1).JPG, and IMG_0001 (3).JPG in my photo library. This robs me of the ability view my photos sorted by name, which is often the default sort order in my photo folders, and still see them chronologically. I can, of course, sort them by Date Created, but it would be more flexible if I could do either one.
Therefore, I'd like to set Camera Roll to start numbering its photos starting with whatever the next number higher than all the rest in my library would be, in this case, IMG_0553.JPG. I can't just use Windows to go into the iPhone's Camera Roll and rename the first photo I take to be IMG_0533.JPG. The iPhone just doesn't allow tampering with the filename that way. Can I even count on Camera Roll to note the presence of the highest numbered file in its folder and then just name the next picture taken the next higher number? Since I have no reason to believe that I won't have to reset the phone again, I'd like for whatever method I find to be one that I can use to set the Camera Roll to start at whatever other number I need when the time comes.
UPDATE: So what I tried to do was, with an empty Camera Roll, I uploaded a picture with the filename and number that I wanted (IMG_0533.JPG) into my Photo Stream, then saved that picture to my Camera Roll, hoping it would retain the file name, and then Camera Roll would just use the next number. That didn't work. It saved into Camera Roll as a brand spanking new IMG_0001.JPG.
So I'm playing around with 8.1, and am trying to get an image I like as my start screen background. But no matter what I do to resize the image in Photoshop or what have you, my 1520 always wants to crop it. I want to use the entire image.
I have purchased my phone about 2 weeks back, did not face any problems at all. Untill today, I was just messaging with my phone, than decided to run to some other errands. When I got back it had been shut off. When I rebooted it, the red led turns on for a moment and the device starts up, the bar though just stops and freezes a quarter of the way though. Tryed rebooting a couple of times.
This might be a bug because I noticed once I plug the charger in my Z2 and try to start an app (say Clash of Clans) a white screen just slides through and nothing happens. I just press the multi tasking button to force-close it. Also tried to force stop the app before relaunching it, same problem. Tried to restart the phone via the power button, however it takes longer time than normal before it boots up again, like 3 to 5 minutes. What could be the cause of this issue?
I do not know why, real player started to work wrong. whenever I play a video, it plays for 5 seconds and after that the image frezees and the audio keeps playing.
Anyone have any idea why my nuron 5230's camera wont start up? it just gives me a blank black screen and when i try to switch it to video mode it tells me "memory is full switch memory?" then i click yes but it just crashes and brings me back to the home screen. anyone have any idea whats wrong? or any fixes? i already tried to take the battery off, restore to factory settings, and that reset [press and hold green, red, camera, and power button till phone boots up] but its still like this.
After updating to firmware version 40, I have a freezing video problem. When I play video file (.mp4), it starts playing as always but after a while image freezes but sound continues playing. No way forwarding video, the freezed image is always there but sound plays normally.I have Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, firmware version 40.2.005.263.04.Everything else is working correctly in the phone after update to 40 firmware. Is it a problem that could be solved?
For some reason today when i opened up my camera to take a few shots it had problem auto focusing on items close to me, as you know when you tap the screen to focus on a point in the screen you get the circle and a small beep to let you know it's focusing ok, it seemed to have problems getting to this point and there was an audible high pitched buzzing or clicking sound coming from the lens itself and the screen image would not come into focus
the phone has not been dropped or roughly handled so i am 100% sure it's not an issue caused by being knocked, i have tried a reset and a reboot but the issue still remains, also i have done no recent updates and there are none showing so that's not the issue either
Came back home and rebooted it while it was connected to the charger. Now it won't start. It starts to boot, plays the Nokia hand shake video clip then freezes. I've tried rebooting it while the charger is connected, removed the battery, put it back...everything! Seriously. This is a new phone.Language edited by a moderator. Please show some respect not only to Nokia but also to the user(s) who came here seeking a workable solution for the problems with their Nokia devices.
I just got the new lumia 950 xl in the mail after i put in my old sd card the phone gets stuck on the boot up is it a phone problem or is the card broken...
My camera freezes for days when I try to take a picture. The video does not work either. and the face time camera does not work!I have updated, restored the phone but nothing works
Sometime My N900 Freezes up. Like if I have to make a phone call or open the application it takes around 2-2.5 mins to start up telephone. Sometime its so embarrassing when someone ask the phone for a call or I'm saving some ones contact. And seriously then N900 to me seems like a brick & feels like to throw it away (I have done this with few Nokias)
I have even tried rebooting but doesn't help. Happens now and then & stays for few days. (specially if I'm not connected to internet). Please don't take me otherwise I love Nokia and N900.
Owned Nokia 5110, Nokia 8210, Nokia 8250, Nokia 6610, Nokia 6820, Nokia 9500, Nokia E50, Nokia 8800 , Nokia E71, Nokia N91 4 GB, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N97, iPhone 3GS & finally Nokia N900,Nokia X6, Nokia E55 & BB BOLD 9700
When I start the camera, it open the screen but does not open the shutter.and goes into a screen indicating something in progress and then in few seconds - goes back to the locked screen.
I buy the blackberry bold 9900 mobile and after 1 month when i use the camera it showing the error message could not start the camera close other application and try opening the camera again i remove the battery from the mobile and restart so many time and i not able to capture the picture . and also update the software.
when I try to open my camera it says "could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again ". But there are no applications open
Camera will not capture images. Purely states 'unable to capture image'. Video camera comes up with coloured lines, no image. Reasonably new handset, have tried rebooting and clearing down all apps.
My old phone used to save picture/videos with full dates (eg. "IMG_20120513_215914"), while my new one (the HTC One) saves them with just sequential numbering (eg. "IMAG0004").
Is there any way to change this? I much preferred knowing when my pictures were taken.
Very disappointed in the results I've gotten in the first month of using this camera. Even with flash activated in very decent indoor light, the shutter speed seems to default to 1/20 second. Since it's virtually impossible to hold any camera - much less an iPhone - perfectly still at that slow of a speed, the shots are predictably blurry and most are simply unusable. (BTW, none of the shots I'm describing are zoomed and hdr is off.)
I do not need to store them permanently on the phone by would prefer to store them in iCloud fro viewing later on iPhone5, iPad Air, or Mac Book Pro as needed.
I find I am hitting a storage limit on the iPhone5 and need to resolve this without permanently losing images by deleting them.
a couple months ago i finally decided i needed to get a new phone becase it seemed the camera on my old w810i was starting to out - it wouldnt focus very well and the camera button wouldn't snap a picture too reliably anymore. I figured it was probably because i had taken thousands and thousands of images over the time i had the phone since 2006 - i think the last image i took with the 810i was named something like 'dsc06912'. I'm in the US and att is my provider, so i 'upgraded' to an iphone4 but returned it after a couple of weeks primarily because i learned i really like a dedicated camera button. So I switched to the SE Vivaz with no iphone restock fee - nice. I really liked the vivaz hardware size and camera but that symbian os just didn't cut it, especially after using the iphone and the wifi internet experience was pathetic...so after i couple more weeks turned the vivaz in for this xperia x10 - with a restock fee tho.
one of the things thats bugging me about this x10 is that the image filenames keep getting reset each time i download and erase the image files from the phone microsd memory card. in the w810i, even when i did this the filenames still incremented correctly when i took more pictures, thus I new that 'dsc06912' was the 6,912 picture i had taken. with this x10, it starts over at 'dsc_0001' everytime i start taking pictures after downloading the previous batch of images to my computer. (Even the Vivaz continued to increment correctly after i downloaded the images - i guess thats one good thing the nokia folks got right since i believe the w810i used symbian like the vivaz.)i have looked and looked through all the places i can in the x10 android 1.6 os and can find no where to make the filenumbering not re-set.
Recently I've been taking pictures with my 1520 camera and noticed the image was shaking. At first I thought I was shaking so I put it in a tripod and it was doing the same thing. I'm running dev pre 8.1.
I always capture raw (rather than jpeg) images with my digital camera. Post processing raw files in Lightroom gives me greater exposure latitude and dynamic range. This is the one thing I miss from my LG G3. I'd love to see Samsung include this capability in a firmware update.
SE Xperia Neo V Camera sets file name with a prefix and ordered number. The problem is that after I move photos from Neo to a PC, the numbering next photos does not continue, and start anew. I this way I lost a few photos while uploading files to PC. This name method is correct or not? Before SE Xperia I had Nokia smartphone, so it was add in the file name, except for the odered number, the date + time with seconds.
I have a us unlocked version of the d6603 and noticed after a super clean install....(factory reset, then installed updated software .232) the camera seems to overall have much more noise in the image.... Where as photos before the update were much cleaner and had much less noise... Right now it's almost like it has artificial film grain....
The only thing I haven't tried is the factory reset that you do when your battery is above 80 percent..
Camera and vid recorder have stopped working. Camera message is could not capture image. Lots of space on card. Worked perfectly almost 2 yrs to now. Still able to see pics and videos and all menus appear functional.
I have used Sony Ericsson phones for years and all my previous phones have had a feature on the camera whereby you could zoom in on a photograph you've taken, and then save the zoomed/close-up image as a seperate photograph.
If this feature exists on the Mini Pro, I certainly can't find it. I took a photo with the camera of something quite far away. The camera will let me zoom in on the bit of the image I want to see, and will allow me to view it, but I want to save the zoomed image. The far-away image is useless to me.
