I do not know why, real player started to work wrong. whenever I play a video, it plays for 5 seconds and after that the image frezees and the audio keeps playing.
View 6 RepliesAfter updating to firmware version 40, I have a freezing video problem.When I play video file (.mp4), it starts playing as always but after a while image freezes but sound continues playing. No way forwarding video, the freezed image is always there but sound plays normally.I have Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, firmware version 40.2.005.263.04.Everything else is working correctly in the phone after update to 40 firmware.Is it a problem that could be solved?

Yes, I know, it's been addressed before, but I've tried everything suggested and I'm still having this problem. Have upgraded the firmware, soft reset, hard reset, run windows chkdsk on the memory card, formatted the memory card.... you name it! But it STILL freezes! Doesn't make any sense having an "Xpressmusic" that can't play any music

This happs when as soon as a new track starts to play. then the music app does not close/exit too.no problems when playing music through playlists and by genre.I have to close the music player by force by using the remove memory card feature which closes all running apps. to play music again to use the phone.is there any problem playing music in wma format? i checked the file details in the music i was playing when the player froze.

Does anyone know how to adjust this (as it's costing me 3 times as much). Phonebook -
You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem
I am a hardcore user of nokia c5-00 for almost 9 months. I am happy with everything except for the fact that the inbuilt real player cannot play rmvb files without flaws. Whereas i have a another player which plays the same files like charm.

If I use my video camera the image gets to be stuck every 5 seconds, when I watch the video on my pc or even on the E72, the sound is good but the images are most of the time mixed up or stuck...
also: when i put up a connection like making a call or browsing on the internet, the time it takes to connect to the server is ALOT longer...the camera and the connection worked a bit better before the firmware update...(BTW this is my first bad xp with Nokia, normally a business phone is close to bug free. This is close to no-wurth-selling...)
I have problem with videos RECORDED BY Nokia 5800XM, during the recording picture freezes every 5-6, sometimes every 10 seconds. During the playback is same situation, screen freezes but audio continues.Then video arrives audio and after few seconds freezes again and audio continues.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSince first day I'm having problems with music player. When I click to play a song it takes several seconds to update screen, moreover hardware buttons doesn't do anything. After a few seconds mobile starts to work again, and everything seems well.
It happens with any application that play music (Microsoft, Nokia and mine), and with any music file. Same files where working perfectly on a Lumia 800.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 5800 sometimes freezes when I hang up after a call (or actually when I try to hang up). The phone freezes in the call screen and the phone is partially responsive because I get a reaction from the vibrator when I'm pressing "Hang up" (sometimes it freezes directly after answering so instead of "hang up" a have frozen "answer" screen). And another thing: I can call to my 5800 from another phone when it is frozen, I hear tones in the calling phone, but my 5800 is not notifying of this.
The only solution is to restart the phone. I've had my 5800 since v11 of the firmware through v20 (and v30?) and now the most recent v40 firmware. The problem persist and it freeze call screen has acted the same in all versions. This should have been fixed by now! Calling is a basic function of a phone (!), I wouldn't care too much if it froze when I played a third party game or something. But now it is basic functionality that doesn't work. If I have the music player and podcast application (downloading) and call comes in and then the phone freezes I would understand. But I cannot accept it when it happens to an idle phone with no open applications.
It won't stop flashing and starting to get very annoying any ideas of how to fix this?
I've already had to take it to a nokia care point twice in the past month because the screen has broken and then non responsive.I've reset the phone and hard reset as well and the problem is still there...
Basically when using the phone the screen turns black for a fraction of a second, before returning to the screen I was on. It happens about every 6 or so seconds...any advise or will I have to take it back to repairs?
Also, I have white spots on my camera screen? Is this dirt or a fault with the camera?
When I record with my Xperia z5c sometimes I have little jumps in the recordings, the image pause one or two seconds and then continues recording.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia Ovi Player has ceased to function following an automated update of Windows 7. The update included 7 security tweaks, a malicious code remover tool and a security update specifically mentioning Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. When I restore the computer to a point previous to the updates, the Ovi Player works fine. I can only presume that there is a conflict as a result. The messages I receive tell me; "There has been a problem starting Ovi Player. Running the Repair option for Ovi Player in the Add Remove Programs section of Windows Control Panel may resolve this problem." Followed by; "Nokia Ovi Player has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem." Neither method fixes the issue. Any ideas? My phone is the Nokia 5800 and I have been successfully downloading music as part of the Comes With music package for 11 months.
