I bought myself a sandisk ultra class 10 32 gb card after updating my 1320 to 8.1. After using it for 3 months, the card got corrupted. I then got myself a samsung 2 gb card. Even that got corrupted. It says memory card need to be formatted. But when i try to format it says that the card cannot be formatted. I have seen few other posts mentioning the same problem.
View 2 RepliesI bought L1320 today and I have updated it to the last Preview version. Now I have a big annoying problem, I can't install apps on my SD card neither on phone memory whatever I try. I have already done a reset and also formatted the SD card. Still nothing good. I've been restarting my phone all over and over but the app is still there installing but not actually installing and when my screen times out there's no other way to start the phone than restarting it. I'm so much pissed off right now!
View 1 Replies View Relatedi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Xperia Z3 16GB version and Recently I had been to a hiking trip and had used my Xperia Z3 on the trip extensively for photos and vidoes. I have taken as much as 600 photos and few videos of size 2.9 GB. Since the phone memory was getting full, i moved the images,videos using the "Move Files to SD Card" option found under "Settings --> Storage".
The Transfer finished successfully and the phone memory was relieved. Now after this transfer, i can't open any images moved to SD card. They all were moved to "DCIM --> 100ANDRO" folder.
The photos seem to be corrupted. ALL OF THEM
This is such a mess and I tried a few tools for recovering the images. They didn't woork for me. How to recover these photos? These are memories from a Trip which I can do only once in life time.
The jpeg image properties show up the File Size clearly which means that the content is still there but somehow corrupted.
Am on win 8. All my media files are showing up in phone mem + sd card memory. I once deleted all media from phone, removed my sd card and inserted it back but still media files seems to occupy both phone + sd memory.

I'm now having problems with my 8GB memory card, when I put it into the phone it said "Memory Card Corrupted", So I formatted it, as it had said to (lost all my music from it) And now it only shows up as 30MB, **bleep**? Also, when I take pictures and such, they're all showing up as corrupted (since they save straight to memory card) - I called up the company who I've got the contract phone from, and they really weren't any help.

Since I had been having some odd behavior, I decided after the upgrade to reset the phone using *#7370#. The phone did refresh, but afterward, the memory card was unreadable. The error using file manager showed "Memory Card Corrupted" when clicking on the "E" drive. I tried reading in a card reader and it too failed.So, I am doing a long 11GB restore, but wanted to post this in case there is a known issue. If not, perhaps this should be looked at. My understanding of the reset process is it does not impact the memory card.

The phone states that the card is corrupted.To test the card I have tried it both in a pc and a Samsung phone and have both recognised and utilised the card correctly. I also tried an old 512mb micro sd from the Samsung in the Nokia and again the Nokia said that this was also corrupted but this works perfectly in the Samsung I have downloaded all latest updates etc The card is a brand new Lexar 32gb micro sdhc class 10 I am unable to format the card in the N700 as I cannot get past the corrupted card message?

But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter loading up some MP3s and a widget (a flashlight app) via bluetooth, I turned off my Nokia 5233. Next morning turned it on but it wouldn't go farther than the Nokia logo on white. Removed battery, left a few minutes, same thing. Removed battery, removed 2Gb memory card while phone was off, reinserted battery, turned it on, phone came back to life. Reinserted mem card; it was recognized, all apps (installed on the card) and music/photos were there, everything worked.However, if I turn off the phone and later on again, it's the same, can't boot further than logo screen unless I boot with the mem card out and insert it later. I guess mem card is corrrupted, and yes, checked that there were now 2 icons for that flashlight app. Removed the app via the app manager, there's still one icon left. Trying to remove it via the Organize->Remove command gives a 'File Corrupted' mesage and it can't de deleted; it doesn't run either. Is there a way to remove this 'corrupted' file?So guess there's no option but re-formating mem card, is it? I've backed up all photos but really dread having to re-install all the apps I had on it. Is there a way to check for mem card integrity or fix it without having to clean it off?

Everything worked fine until i copied music and Video files from PC and old card. It happens that everything copied but on phone it doesn't appear anywhere except Music and Videos which are in Others and also the pictures.
I can access music files and videos through Players and also from file manager but i'm not able to see Pictures in Windows Photos but i can in File manager.
My Others folder is like 18+ GB. How do i make my wallpaper and old photos appear on phone ? Why MS is Dumb on this matter?
i've just bought a 32gb samsung (6) shsd card, but having problems with it.
I put it in, the phone hangs for a second, like it reading it, then nothing, if eject it and put it back in a few times it comes up with "attention required" and asks me to format it, when doing that it just stays on formatting and looks like it isn't doing anything (left it for 2 hours earlier to do it).
Ive tried hard reseting my phone, soft reseting, formatting the card on my PC etc etc, but nothing.
After I updated my phone to WP 8.1 I didn't like it for many reasons and before I downgrade it I restore my files and apps and pics and everything in my SD card.... Later on after I downgrade to WP 8. I couldn't sync my files or get them back again to my phone. even when I brows the files throw my PC it shows the folders but its' empty, however the size of the SD card recognize the files... What to do ?? It's very important files .. Do I lost it forever ??

1. Moved twitter app to sd card: It took around 10-15 mins and after that i couldnt open twitter. I had to uninstall it and then install again to use it and in the process lost the data.
2. Moved all my images from phone to sd card but it didnt free up phone memory at all and sd memory filled up
I used storage sense for moving twitter app and used gallery to move images.
My photos and videos are auto saved to my SD card. The videos play very choppily. I am trying to move some to my phone memory. I can view them under photos, camera roll. But when I go to file explorer, only photos , not videos show up in that folder?? What do I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from a Lumia 521 to a Lumia 1320 last week. I can't run Windows Phone 8.1 DP on my new 1320. Apparently it's something to do with Cricket Wireless. WP 8.1 DP will install, but then it's frequent crash/restart loops. On my Lumia 521, there was a setting to enable pushing store apps/updates from Windows Phone Store in IE 11 on my Windows 8.1 Pro x64 pc to my phone.
I can't remember where the setting was in Windows Phone 8.1 for enabling this. Also, on my Lumia 521 in the Lock Screen settings, I could set the time to never, 30 minutes, 15 minutes. 5 minutes, 3 minutes or 1 minute. On my Lumia 1320 the settings are only 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Is there a way to get the old settings for this back ? The 30 minutes or never is useful for updates or backups. The 5 minute crap stinks.
