Does anybody know how to transfer contacts from the phone itself to the SIM card? All my contacts are on the phone & I need them on the SIM to use the SIM in another phone.....cannot use this Lumia anymore...not user-friendly!!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a bit stumped. I have my Icon synced with my Mercedes C300 via Bluetooth. Everything works fine..receiving and making calls. Responding to texts with Cortana. However, I want to add a new contact to the cars phone book. I go to the contact on the Icon...select share the contact...choose via Bluetooth....but the Bluetooth connection for the car does not show up to select. This is very strange since the phone and the car are already connected via Bluetooth.

The SIM from my 1020 was larger than the SIM for the V10, and apparently it's not possible for them to use their software to transfer SIM contacts off of Windows phone because of software restrictions.
I'd really like to get my contacts from my old SIM card transferred to my new phone but I can't figure out how to do it. I connected my 1020 to my computer but I can't find the SIM contacts anywhere in the file directory.
How to transfer contacts from Nokia N95 to Lumia 800
I tried the appealing Bluetooth option, but unfortunately it didn't work. The pairing of the devices seemed to go OK.But after starting "contacts transfer" with some dots running over the screen of Lumia for a few second, I got "unable to complete the connection etc.".So apparently N95 is not supported or something.
I have around 450 contacts in my address book (names, address, phone nos) on N9 and around 400 on Windows Lives account (combination of Gmail, Facebook and LinkedIn) on my Lumia 800.So, I tried using the Contacts Transfer app to move the contacts from N9 to Lumia via Bluetooth. What happened was that it transferred around 60-70 contacts and then failed.I tried repeating it several times, each time having to pair with the N9 again on Bluetooth and each time failing the transfer after moving around 60-70 or so contacts.I then decided to give up and look into PeopleHub and under the contacts, I found hundreds of entries labelled <Unnamed>, with empty contents in them.Now, how can I get rid of them and why failing to complete the transfer resulted in these blank entries being generated?I also logged into my Windows Live account and indeed, it is saying I have over 900 contacts but these <Unnamed> contacts are not listed anywhere in the ALL, 123, A, B, C, D, E, etc. groups. So, I'm unable to bulk delete them on the web.

I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. It is very frustrating when you can't access to memory storage in Nokia Lumia 800 and even Can't transfer documents (PDF, Word Excel) to phone.I think Zune is the too fancy tools (software) to transfer and not user friendly.Probably move back to HTC as no point have a good graphic phone without having essential normal functions.
