Jun 8, 2012contacts are stored in Lumia now, not possible to transfer to sim either.Up till now no luck to get them into 4S.

I tried the appealing Bluetooth option, but unfortunately it didn't work. The pairing of the devices seemed to go OK.But after starting "contacts transfer" with some dots running over the screen of Lumia for a few second, I got "unable to complete the connection etc.".So apparently N95 is not supported or something.

May 8, 2012I have around 450 contacts in my address book (names, address, phone nos) on N9 and around 400 on Windows Lives account (combination of Gmail, Facebook and LinkedIn) on my Lumia 800.So, I tried using the Contacts Transfer app to move the contacts from N9 to Lumia via Bluetooth. What happened was that it transferred around 60-70 contacts and then failed.I tried repeating it several times, each time having to pair with the N9 again on Bluetooth and each time failing the transfer after moving around 60-70 or so contacts.I then decided to give up and look into PeopleHub and under the contacts, I found hundreds of entries labelled <Unnamed>, with empty contents in them.Now, how can I get rid of them and why failing to complete the transfer resulted in these blank entries being generated?I also logged into my Windows Live account and indeed, it is saying I have over 900 contacts but these <Unnamed> contacts are not listed anywhere in the ALL, 123, A, B, C, D, E, etc. groups. So, I'm unable to bulk delete them on the web.

Nov 6, 2012I have just bought a Nokia X3-02 in the nice blue color. I really like this phone - I think I am going to like it a lot when I am going to use it. I am not a dedicated smartphone user as many other are - I only use my cellphone for sms and speaking. But I have had a Nokia Lumia 900 for the last 4 months. A very nice phone also and I liked Windows Phone. But that phone is overkill for me - too big and too heavy. But one thing I liked very much about it was that it could syncronize directly, wirelessly with Windows Live e-mail account. So I made a Windows Live e-mail account, just for phonenumbers to be used in my contacts in my phone.
Is it somehow possible to syncronize contacts in Nokia Suite with this Windows Live e-mail account?? And then to syncronize with my pretty little new cellphone? Hope to get an answer soon - would like to start using the phone...

Feb 26, 2015I'm a bit stumped. I have my Icon synced with my Mercedes C300 via Bluetooth. Everything works fine..receiving and making calls. Responding to texts with Cortana. However, I want to add a new contact to the cars phone book. I go to the contact on the Icon...select share the contact...choose via Bluetooth....but the Bluetooth connection for the car does not show up to select. This is very strange since the phone and the car are already connected via Bluetooth.

Jan 23, 2016I recently got an LG V10 (I know, I know, I hated giving up Windows Phone but I had to), and the ATT store was unable to transfer my SIM contacts to my new phone. The SIM from my 1020 was larger than the SIM for the V10, and apparently it's not possible for them to use their software to transfer SIM contacts off of Windows phone because of software restrictions.
I'd really like to get my contacts from my old SIM card transferred to my new phone but I can't figure out how to do it. I connected my 1020 to my computer but I can't find the SIM contacts anywhere in the file directory.

Mar 28, 2012I got an iPhone 4S the other day & at the Verizon store they were able to transfer all my contacts from my old phone (Droid Incredible), and on that phone with the names on my Contacts List, it would automatically give me the option to link that info with the person's Facebook profile, so that when I opened a contact I would see their profile picture, all their phone numbers, email address, etc. I was told that with my new iPhone would be able to do the same thing, that once I downloaded and installed the Facebook app, the first time I opened it and logged in I would be prompted as to whether or not I wanted to sync my contacts, but THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. So now my contacts list has several names listed 2-3 times, once I guess from my old phone, once from Gmail, and maybe once from Facebook? I've tried looking through all the settings, for 'Contacts,' 'Accounts,' even Facebook itself, and I haven't been able to find ANY place where I can merge or sync my contacts to get them how I want. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there not a way to look at my contacts list, see just one listing for each person, and have that listing include their Facebook profile picture, all their phone numbers, their email addresses, etc.?
