Just got myself a lumia 950xl. Previously had a 930.
Restored my 930 backup to my 950xl. My start lumia930 start screen didn't show up though. I didnt sign up fpr preview of wp10. Is that normal? Do I have tp reconfig my start screen.
Also, it seems to me that b the whites of my screen appear yellowish....
How do I do this?Then restoring after a hard reset, to get my personalization etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCant understand why the backup to PC of vital Lumia phone information such as contacts, calendar and messges can not be easily and quickly achieved as with the Nokia suite and N8. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

I decided to JB with Redsn0w this time (instaed of blackra1n) because I've been told it's a lot smoother. Before I do that though, I want to save my text messages so I can put them back on my phone after I set it up as new. It is the only thing I'd really care to save. At random times the screen will start shaking as if it's trying to scroll two directions and it will sometimes randomly click things on the screen. It pulls up Cortana alot and the capacitive buttons will stop responding all together. It only stops when I press the power button to turn off the screen but it just randomly starts later. I've tried a soft reset and that did nothing.

Some contacts were tripled, and doubled, some numbers were moved to different contacts, or deleted.
Is there a simple, or any kind of way to get back my old contacts list from a previous backup, while at the same time keeping the new OS, and replacing only this contact list?
When setting up my new iPhone I missed the option to back up from my previous iPhone. Is there a way I can still do this?
