I lost my phone at the weekend and used the location service on the web. I sent the phone a message saying if returned you will get a reward. The phone was returned but now I cannot remove the post it note screen from lock screen.

But 1 thing that makes me sad about the ICS update is that there is no message notification in the lock screen. Where is it now? I hope in the next update they will include this. By the way, the camera is so good right now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI set up a new pattern for my lock screen on my Sony Experia Z2 and I have forgotten it. How can I unlock my phone without deleting any files? I need to keep my photos ect. I have tried to use Sony PC Companion but for that you need to have your screen unlocked and I can't unlock it because I don't know the pattern. I have also tried to enter a code in the emergency call section to try unlock it and it didn't work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues.  When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked".  I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have.  I have called Sony and they could not provide a code.  I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm a new user, just got the SE XPERIA RAY yesterday, the phone has a great feature of locking the screen during a call (whether initiated or received) until the user clicks the home button. however upon receiving calls the screen locks (black screen), the home button doesnt unlock the screen and it stays that was after the call ends, until it restarts or i remove the battery. i removed the battery, sim and SD card. I updated the software then made a master reset, nothing works... should i replace the phone? or is there something else to try?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI tap "ok" and the message comes back again. The strange thing is that the message is in spanish (I have my phone in English and that the lockscreen photo has dissapeared and the xperia theme is there now.
It seems like the phone is working ok in the background, but I cannot access the homescreen.

I can take screenshots, change the volume, etc. and as I could access the phone's internal and sdcard I made all the backups as possible.
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed

2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
Scrolling through the topics looks like I too am a victim of the latest update! Can't stand what it did to all my icons, moved stuff around, etc. I cannot find my icon for the screen/keyboard lock. I don't know what other buttons I can press that would lock my screen so that it doesnt press buttons when its in my purse. help me lock my screen/keyboard!
View 10 Replies View RelatedI somehow lost the phone shortcut on the lock screen (the most right one). I try to go to personal -> Lock Screen -> Settings -> Tap on the shortcut to assign an app. The problem is, there is no "Phone" app to select.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI often switch the feature to have to slide the screen lock to use the phone on or off. It's currently off and I can't find the menu item to turn it on again! Where was it again? I've got a standard Motorola Defy 2.2.By the way - the only reason I'm always switching it around is because when I'm expecting a lot of calls/texts, I turn it on. Because when I get a text and the phone's in my pocket, I often press something when taking it out as getting a text/call unlocks the screen.For the rest of the time - I find it irritating to have to press the power button and then slide the screen - why both? It's not like it's hard to accidentally press the power button on the Defy!In a way - that "in pocket detection" option sounds ideal but I found it kept cutting in when I didn't want it to.Maybe I can do something with that "tasker" app so that when I press the power button, it unlocks the screen.where is that screen lock option again?

HTC ONE. With the Stock Messaging app on the phone, I like it and all but I have a small gripe about it. I don't get message previews on the lock screen when I get a message. Yes I know, maybe it's disabled to save on battery life, but battery life is not an issue for me on this phone. Anyways, the only way I can get a message preview on lock screen is if I use CHOMP SMS messaging app. I dont like it, I prefer the stock one, but I leave it on so that I can get previews on my lock screen. Any way to maybe Enable the feature so that I can see a preview of my text on the lock screen?

When I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

Lately there has been an issue with the lock screen not updating the time and some of the message alerts don't appear, until I unlock the phone. This is not the keyboard lock, but the lock that requires a password (corporate IT policy).Is there a way to fix this? The time is set to auto-update from the network. This started a few weeks ago and is very annoying. Sometimes it will update while locked if I activate the screen and let it sit for a minute but other times it won't at all while locked.Anyone else having this issue?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?

View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen I got the first lollipop Update I had an option to disable the lock screen completely on my z3 compact, ever since this recent update to fix the bugs in lollipops it only gives me the option to set a slide lock screen or PIN or password but not completely disable it so if I try to use any third party lock screen I have to first unlock the Sony one before it will go to that one.
my other issue is with the throw, screen mirroring s only once since I've had this phone have I been able to scan and have devices come up I have a smart TV and that came up but everytime I try to do it now it just says no devices found every single time
Ahhh, I was about to go to sleep last night and turned my phone off. This morning I turn it on to a different (and icky) lock screen.
I now have a padlock in a circle at the bottom of my screen, which I must swipe to an open padlock to get to the part where I draw my pattern to unlock.
I much preferred my olf lock screen where my little padlock as nestled in between the four icons I choose and I swiped up to unlock.
My Ray's screen can't be turned on after every screen lock event. Any solution for this? I have reinstall my entire phone through SEUS and the same error is still occuring. Is is firmware problem or hardware problem. I can't believe this is happening as i always keep my phone under good condition and its just 4 months old. Dissapointing purchase.
p.s. The screen can be turned on if u keep trying to press the home button. Usually 8-15 minutes after the phone screen is locked. Face palm much.Is there any temporary solution because i urgently need to use my phone!
I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
