I somehow lost the phone shortcut on the lock screen (the most right one). I try to go to personal -> Lock Screen -> Settings -> Tap on the shortcut to assign an app. The problem is, there is no "Phone" app to select.

And today when I wanted to take a quick picture I couldn't find the Camera shortcut which was usually in the right low corner... I looked thru the setting but I couldn't find anything. (My phone is running the 5.0 lollipop because for the T-Mobiles phones the 5.1 update is not out yet). how I can get that shortcut back?

I go to settings, personal and then to lockscreen and security and there is nothing. I browse and there is nothing.
I also would like to have to type in my PW before answering the phone which means I want to remove that shortcut too form the lockscreen.
With the new update, the new slide-camera-button-to-activate-camera feature has a major downfall... you are able to completely bypass entering you password and access all the phone information! After sliding the camera button and getting into the camera, simply pressing the button takes you right into the phone without ever having to enter your password. This is a major problem! Anyone know how to deactivate that camera feature or simply a way to prevent access to my phone?

The camera icon appears even if I single click the home button, but whether I single click or double click the home button, touching the camera icon simply makes the screen bounce in rejection.
I have removed the passcode on my phone only to get the same effect.

Is there a way to prevent or disable using the shortcut settings from the lock screen?
This person could easily turn the screen on, flop the screen down twice, use the short cut settings to turn off the Cellular data, preventing me from finding my phone using the device manager on the web.
Isn't this a security issue?

i need help with my phone. I have the HTC sensation XE beats. The screen is completely black but it starts up and charge light comes on when on charge. Is there anything i can do. My phone provider wont help me and want me to pay a fee if they say its my fault.

Where was it again? I've got a standard Motorola Defy 2.2.By the way - the only reason I'm always switching it around is because when I'm expecting a lot of calls/texts, I turn it on. Because when I get a text and the phone's in my pocket, I often press something when taking it out as getting a text/call unlocks the screen.For the rest of the time - I find it irritating to have to press the power button and then slide the screen - why both? Some times when i turn on the phone it says, "Signal lost, Limited service", I can't confirm that it says that on phones with english settings, since mine is on swedish settings, but I think that is what it says in english. Well I'm getting kind of tired of this now since it's happening pretty often. Sometimes it can be fixed by turning the device of and on and removing the SD card and then re enter it a couple of times.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've searched the net and other forums for support and cannot find a solution to this problem. Essentially, on my Blackberry Bold 9700 I lost the ability to hit the K button to lock the keyboard. I have a BB 9700 running v5.0.0.714. I had not installed any new software at all before getting this problem. I didn't do anything differently other than launch the Kayak app. I updated the app and also removed it but still the K button does not work to lock the keyboard.
After searching the forums, I found a couple suggestions (which didn't work):
- Reset the theme didn't work but it did make the 'keyboard lock' icon come back to the home screen. The issue is that there is no under the K to make it so when I hit K it locks the screen. I even tried the default theme (it's a T-Mobile US branded 9700) and didn't work either.
- Reinstall service books didn't work either didn't think there is a correlation here anyway.
- Full restart, batter pull did this multiple times didn't work.
- Update software all software apps and OS is up-to-date. I have fully uninstalled the kayak app just in case there was a correlation, still doesn't work.
I had to restore to factory settings. Since then I have lost the shortcut to Facebook for HTC Sense. I have the friend stream and it is still showing as an account in my settings but I cant get into my actual Facebook page.

I've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
How to download bluray digital copies on to the sensation. I have been trying for months to do it and I'm beginning to lose my patience.
I want to take advantage of the screen size and quality but I cant figure out how to get the digital copies on to it.
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:
1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
I'm just wandering if you can create photo albums on the Sensation XL.All my pictures are currently in the "All Photos" album
