When i lock my Blackberry with the button at the bottom, this information doesn't appear on my screen...
I must to configure in Security -> Password -> Enable.... If i want this informations.
My Blackberry Bold 9700 show this information without configure Security -> Password -> Enable.
I have a new 9650 running on Verizon, OS 5.0.0.732. Lately there has been an issue with the lock screen not updating the time and some of the message alerts don't appear, until I unlock the phone. This is not the keyboard lock, but the lock that requires a password (corporate IT policy).Is there a way to fix this? The time is set to auto-update from the network. This started a few weeks ago and is very annoying. Sometimes it will update while locked if I activate the screen and let it sit for a minute but other times it won't at all while locked.Anyone else having this issue?

View 10 Replies View RelatedHTC ONE. With the Stock Messaging app on the phone, I like it and all but I have a small gripe about it. I don't get message previews on the lock screen when I get a message. Yes I know, maybe it's disabled to save on battery life, but battery life is not an issue for me on this phone. Anyways, the only way I can get a message preview on lock screen is if I use CHOMP SMS messaging app. I dont like it, I prefer the stock one, but I leave it on so that I can get previews on my lock screen. Any way to maybe Enable the feature so that I can see a preview of my text on the lock screen?

But 1 thing that makes me sad about the ICS update is that there is no message notification in the lock screen. Where is it now? I hope in the next update they will include this. By the way, the camera is so good right now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently made the switch back to android from an iPhone after quite a few years and I'm trying to re-familiarize myself with android's operating system and work out what I need to change and using this phone I noticed the notifications lacking, so I set up DashClock and DashNotifier and so far I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do for all the apps I have set up with it except for the notifications coming through the 'Messages' app on the phone for text messages.
When receiving a text message my lock screen ignores that I've set up DashClock as my default lock screen and pulls up the original lock screen with the quite ugly 'New Message' notification (as seen in the attached picture). If I scroll to the right DashClock is open and showing the message notification just fine. I've tried to disable the lock screen notifications for the 'Messages' app but haven't been successful in removing it. Is there a way to just have the 'Messages' app give lock screen notifications on the top bar and none like in the image below, or is there a work around within DashClock/DashNotifier or some other application that would fix this? My phone is running Android 4.4.2.
Is it possible to lock / freeze the icons on the 'desktop' from the Blackberry Bold in the settings so that they can't be moved?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:
1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
Does anyone know how to activate the lock screen? Sorry if this question has been asked already.

I just got mine today and love the big flip clock display and would love to make this the lock screen somehow, but it only displays when charging. I can't believe there is a setting for this? View 4 Replies View Relatedjust bought a brand new bold 9900 yesterday and was feeling all excited about it.however, when i tried to typed messages be it a sms, whatsapp or on bbm, as long as i pressed c, z, m, n or space, the screen will get locked up immediately. tried updating my OS to 7.0 and 7.1 (current) but that doesnt help at all.wondering is the hardware defective or the problems lies with the OS.

When the phone is locked (not just the keyboard but password enabled) there are times that the time is not updating unless I unlock the phone. My old Curve never did this, it showed the current time regardless of the password.Is there a fix for this? I saw a thread in the 9700 forum that this was an issue back in April, guess it still is? Any suggestions would be great, since I don't wear a watch anymore. My blackberry is the only way I am ever on time anymore.

Sometimes when i restart my device, it won't display the blackberry logo and the progress bar, i just get the blank lit up screen. and after 5 - 10 minutes or so, i use random buttons on the keypad to get the display back, but nothing works. i just see blank screen and lit up keypad. Display would randonly get back but its a pain in the &&& to get the device display back after so many tries

I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed LockInfo a while ago. I got everything working fine, downloaded it and plugins fine. I got them all from the same repo as I was advised to do that, and everything seemed to be working fine. Everything was up to date etc.
I received an SMS, and instead of it appearing under the SMS on LockInfo, which it does, it appears as well by the annoying Apple notification box.
I still want my phone to light up when I received a text message and the text message to be displayed under the SMS tab in LockInfo, but how do I get rid of the Apple notification box? I saw when configuring the app there was some thing about quick replying to texts and there was a list to choose form. Would any of those get rid of the Apple alert?
A few weeks ago, my Blackberry got an error 507 screen overnight and I had to wipe the device. I am currently using the latest release of 5.0 and last night my phone was working fine. When I woke up this morning, my screen had the "App error 205" message on it. That is two failures in one month now and I have to go to work in a few minutes so I won't even have time to wipe my device to at least have a working phone for the day. Does anyone have an idea why this junk keeps happening?

It also remains on the Message folder.I was told to remove the battery when the phone is "On" and re-insert it. The icon does disappear only to return when new messages arrive. Is there a permanent solution for this problem? This must be a software problem but no new software updates are available from RIM
