Sep 6, 2011restore a friend's blackberry messenger contact list? I was using a blackberry curve 8530 in the states and I just returned from the states to Africa. Before I left, my gave my bb 8530 to a friend. When I got to Ghana, I mistakenly restored my contact list using email, so it automatically removed my friend's bbm data and now she has lost her contacts.Initially, her bbm contacts appeared on my blackberry messenger contacts so I decided to back up my files remotely. Nothing happened and I later backed up locally using my saved back up list for last month then it was restored. This morning, I got a few bbm request that were her contacts.

Oct 13, 2011I just got a new phone because I lost my old one and I've been trying to restore my bb messenger contacts through the email option which I had done before with other blackberrys and had worked perfectly. This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. I have been doing this for two days and nothing has changed.

Oct 28, 2010I had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]

Apr 9, 2012 my old iphone3GS. I have iphone 4S and ipad. Dad started deleting contacts but because we are both on same wireless network it has deleted contact from my iphone, ipad and icloud. HOW can I get them back???? I had so many contacts in there I don't even know which ones he has deleted....... I thought icloud was supposed to be back up but they have deleted immediately from there too???
And once some lovely person can tell me how to do that, how do I untether my old phone (now dad's phone) from mine? Attached it to his itunes instead of mine but clearly that hasn't worked.

May 15, 2012On my wife's iPhone the standard issue "Contacts" app has disappeared, and neither does it show under the phone apps when plugged into iTunes. It has not been moved into a folder of any type, for my wife has none of those. When I search the iTunes app store this original Contacts app does not seem to be listed. Is there a way to restore this app to the phone? Her contacts do appear in the phone tab on her iPhone, and in the Address Book program on her iMac.

Dec 1, 2011I have a BB Bold 9900 ( v7.0.0296,Platform 5.0.0.496 ) I've done a full back up yesterday using Blackberry Desktop Software ( Bundle 34 ) so i was trying to restore the data, and everything seemed to be restored except the contact list, i tried to restore the contact list seperatly, but out of 322 numbers only 42 were restored! I tried to do it over and over again, the same number of contacts was restored, but never all of them !

Now contacts/calendar/mail etc is not in Outlook 2010. I know it's there, but haven't been able to successfully open a .pst file with that data. Now when I try to sync from Torch to Outlook, it tells me one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again. I can't seem to locate the folder mapping option within the Desctop Manager.
