I made a backup yesterday from BBM Contacts in my email and today i format my bb. I lost all in the phone, but only the important thing is the BBM contacts.
I recive the mail from Blackberry saying: "hello the recovery is in progress" or something like this, but in my bbm theres no contacts..
My original torch 9800 was stolen, I just received my replacement torch 9800 and I went to restore my phone from my last backup but my contacts did not restore. Is there a reason for this? Is there a way to get them back?

I tried many times, also with another backups made before.I did another back up, but still restore 114 contacts after I add some more.
View 1 Replies View Relatedrecently left my company and now don't have exchange server anymore. Synced up Torch, successfully then removed Exchange Mail Account. Now contacts/calendar/mail etc is not in Outlook 2010. I know it's there, but haven't been able to successfully open a .pst file with that data. Now when I try to sync from Torch to Outlook, it tells me one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again. I can't seem to locate the folder mapping option within the Desctop Manager.

And when i try to restore on my new 9810 it says "This data is already wirelessely synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect" only for contacts. And i've archived the device by mistake n now it shows "Remote admin commands are not available on archived devices".

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a new phone because I lost my old one and I've been trying to restore my bb messenger contacts through the email option which I had done before with other blackberrys and had worked perfectly. This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. I have been doing this for two days and nothing has changed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]
I have 4 different email accounts, 2 of them are gmail and yahoo. The unpleasant thing that happen is that after setting up these accounts. Contacts are auto-sync and now I have the same contact twice although in the "setting" "setup" I have untick the sync contact box I just do not understand why does that happen. I have use blackberry before but none of these happen this is so un-cool!

my old iphone3GS. I have iphone 4S and ipad. Dad started deleting contacts but because we are both on same wireless network it has deleted contact from my iphone, ipad and icloud. HOW can I get them back???? I had so many contacts in there I don't even know which ones he has deleted....... I thought icloud was supposed to be back up but they have deleted immediately from there too???
And once some lovely person can tell me how to do that, how do I untether my old phone (now dad's phone) from mine? Attached it to his itunes instead of mine but clearly that hasn't worked.

On my wife's iPhone the standard issue "Contacts" app has disappeared, and neither does it show under the phone apps when plugged into iTunes. It has not been moved into a folder of any type, for my wife has none of those. When I search the iTunes app store this original Contacts app does not seem to be listed. Is there a way to restore this app to the phone? Her contacts do appear in the phone tab on her iPhone, and in the Address Book program on her iMac.

I have a BB Bold 9900 ( v7.0.0296,Platform 5.0.0.496 ) I've done a full back up yesterday using Blackberry Desktop Software ( Bundle 34 ) so i was trying to restore the data, and everything seemed to be restored except the contact list, i tried to restore the contact list seperatly, but out of 322 numbers only 42 were restored! I tried to do it over and over again, the same number of contacts was restored, but never all of them !

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've been having one problem after another, i just security wiped my phone and i went to restore from my last backup. but my contacts didnt restore back onto the phone! i have no idea why it is not restoring back onto my phone. it is just greyed out when i try to restore in the desktop software. i have a mac btw. and i also lost all my bbm contacts because the last email i used to store my contacts was closed so i can no longer access it, if there are anyway to get those back please tell! i feel if i am able to restore contacts i can get them back!
