I have a BB Bold 9900 ( v7.0.0296,Platform 5.0.0.496 ) I've done a full back up yesterday using Blackberry Desktop Software ( Bundle 34 ) so i was trying to restore the data, and everything seemed to be restored except the contact list, i tried to restore the contact list seperatly, but out of 322 numbers only 42 were restored! I tried to do it over and over again, the same number of contacts was restored, but never all of them !

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've been having one problem after another, i just security wiped my phone and i went to restore from my last backup. but my contacts didnt restore back onto the phone! i have no idea why it is not restoring back onto my phone. it is just greyed out when i try to restore in the desktop software. i have a mac btw. and i also lost all my bbm contacts because the last email i used to store my contacts was closed so i can no longer access it, if there are anyway to get those back please tell! i feel if i am able to restore contacts i can get them back!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]

my old iphone3GS. I have iphone 4S and ipad. Dad started deleting contacts but because we are both on same wireless network it has deleted contact from my iphone, ipad and icloud. HOW can I get them back???? I had so many contacts in there I don't even know which ones he has deleted....... I thought icloud was supposed to be back up but they have deleted immediately from there too???
And once some lovely person can tell me how to do that, how do I untether my old phone (now dad's phone) from mine? Attached it to his itunes instead of mine but clearly that hasn't worked.

On my wife's iPhone the standard issue "Contacts" app has disappeared, and neither does it show under the phone apps when plugged into iTunes. It has not been moved into a folder of any type, for my wife has none of those. When I search the iTunes app store this original Contacts app does not seem to be listed. Is there a way to restore this app to the phone? Her contacts do appear in the phone tab on her iPhone, and in the Address Book program on her iMac.

After a back up I tried to recover my contact but only a get some of them, no total list.I can see that I have backed up in the device manager about 200 contact but only can restore 114. I tried many times, also with another backups made before.I did another back up, but still restore 114 contacts after I add some more.

recently left my company and now don't have exchange server anymore. Synced up Torch, successfully then removed Exchange Mail Account. Now contacts/calendar/mail etc is not in Outlook 2010. I know it's there, but haven't been able to successfully open a .pst file with that data. Now when I try to sync from Torch to Outlook, it tells me one or more configured folders is not available. Update folder mapping and try again. I can't seem to locate the folder mapping option within the Desctop Manager.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an iphone 3GS using 5.1. I regularly sync/backup to my Macbook running 10.6.8. I probably do this once daily at least. The last sync/backup was this morning. Sometime this afternoon I lost all my contacts on my phone. It may have happened when I plugged my phone to my imac at work to recharge it (it is set not to sync, just to recharge, and I also do this regularly without any issues.) Recent and favorite phone numbers are there, along with texts and phone numbers for those, but only one contact was saved. This contact was added earlier this week. I tried to restore using the backup in itunes, but nothing came back. When I check for backups in the Devices tab of the Preferences, the only backup that shows up is the one where I tried to restore the contacts. I tried "Import SIM Contacts" through the Settings on the iphone, but nothing came back. I have also tried the trick with finding a message with a restored contact name (I have one) to "magically" get back all contacts and that does not work either. Everything else on the phone seems to be in place; just missing the contact names. Cannot find these backup files on my computer or on TimeMachine backups either.

I just updated my iphone and all my contacts have been erased. All recent calls and text messages are there. We have updated other iphones without losing the contacts. Is there any way I can get my contact information restored. We specified for the update to not sync contacts since I had no contacts in my itunes library. I had over 200 contacts on my iphone so i did not want to have to type them individually into my library.
