BB Curve :: How To Restore Message Contacts

restore a friend's blackberry messenger contact list? I was using a blackberry curve 8530 in the states and I just returned from the states to Africa. Before I left, my gave my bb 8530 to a friend. When I got to Ghana, I mistakenly restored my contact list using email, so it automatically removed my friend's bbm data and now she has lost her contacts.Initially, her bbm contacts appeared on my blackberry messenger contacts so I decided to back up my files remotely. Nothing happened and I later backed up locally using my saved back up list for last month then it was restored. This morning, I got a few bbm request that were her contacts.

i was connecting my 8310 to my pc using the usb cable, and when was displayed the pop-up alert on the phone, to allow the memory card connection, I selected the flag to avoid the repetition of the question, but, unluckly, I selected the "No" option and not the "Yes" option: a very stupid type mistake.So, now, Desktop Manager can't connect with that computer, cause the 8310 has stored the option that it hasn't to connect and never ask it again.Is there any way to restore the pop up message to allow the pc to connect by USB?I tryed to restore the default option for the firewall, but the situation didin't change.

i recently have updated the latest OS (v5) on my blackberry curve 8520, i created a backup file before doing so but now when i open desktop manager and try and restore, the button is greyed out, i cannot restore using my old file ive lost all my contacts aswell

Just upgraded to 6.0 for device last night. Backed up all data. When data restored,everything restored except the contact list. I tried restoring address book 4 times after initial restore. Desktop restore show over 900 records but none of them will move over.

I recently got my BB 9300 serviced, the BB guys replaced the entire hardware...so I believe the phone is is as good as new. However, when i connect the phone & sync with the BB desktop software, its recoginses the device as new & hence not all my contacts are available for use.

I just got a new phone because I lost my old one and I've been trying to restore my bb messenger contacts through the email option which I had done before with other blackberrys and had worked perfectly. This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. I have been doing this for two days and nothing has changed.

I had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]

My son is using the Curve 8900 (ver 5.0.0.411). His status messages on BBM can never be seen by anyone. I have removed the battery and restarted many times but it's made no difference at all..

I have a bb curve 8300 from sprint and for 4 times in a row with two phones, i have an error message that pops up after taking out the battery. every time i get it the sprint store resets the phone and wipes all my contacts and calendar entries. this is getting very frustrating and making me want to get rid of my blackberry even though i like it a lot. once i get the error message is says resent under it and if you press it, it looks like its starting up again but then the error message comes up and that it. it just does it over and over again.

On my Z3 dual phone, When I search some number from contacts and try to call that person, Contacts freezes. I also get message that "Unfortunately contacts has stopped"
This is happening frequently now. I tried to "clear data" from Apps settings/contacts/clear data. But it didn't work. I want to use a Basic function of my phone, which is Calling.

I had my iphone 3gs on charge and it turnd off and went to the screen were u see the usb and iTunes logo to connect it. so i connect it to my laptop and it says thta it needs to be restored so i click on restore and it makes me download a large file. then it says its starting to restore, all goes well untill half way done and then i eather get an error message ( 14 ) or error message ( 9 ) i have tryd three diffrent laptops and 5 diffrent connection leads, and yet still getting the same error on all of them.

I kept getting this error 21 message everytime i tried to restore my iphone 4. Everything started one morning my iphone 4 kept on vibrating and i really didnt know what to do. So I unplugged it from charger. After that the screen went blank and everytime it keeps showing it to synchronize to itunes. When I try to synchronize with itunes, Itunes is able to identify the iphone4 and wants to restore the Ios but unfortunately I keep getting this error 21. and the process keep on repeating until now. I cannot use my iphone 4 anymore.
