Sep 9, 2011Yesterday, I just upgraded my xperia x10i from vers.1.6 to vers.2.3 I have done messages Backup in SD card (mmssms_bk.db)however, in vers.2.3,There is no restore from SD feature for my messages?I don't want to root my phone or downgrade then upgrade as my Quota usage ( internet connection) left 2GB Requirement:1.Your phone software must be 1.6 version.2.have internet access.steps:1. install "SMS backup & restore" by Ritesh Sahu provided in market and ASTRO file manager by metago2. backup all your messages by using "SMS backup and restore" and name the backup file as 1.xml3. in Messages, click "import to SD" to backup your messages.4. open Astro, go to /mnt/sdcard/system/message/master/ and then replace "mmssms_bk.db" (in your phone) by mine (in rar)..5. go to Messages, click "import from SD" to load all the messages. 6. backup all the messages by using "SMS backup and restore" and name the backup file as 2.xml7. open Astro, go to /mnt/sdcard/SMSBackupRestore and find 2.xml8. copy the file to your pc and send it to me...9. open SMS backup & restore, click restore and choose 1.xml to restore your messages..

Oct 28, 2010I had faced this issue when i last updated my phone when the 2.1 had come out.. I installed the latest Backup and Restore application as recomended by the SE update site.. Then backed up my files onto an already existing backup (which i think has corrupted the backup), hence overwriting the file.. After that i upgraded to 2.1 and restored my files, which failed because the contacts were not successfully imported (even though the Backup and Restore app said that the import was succesful.)
i was asked to repair the firmware using PC companion and hence want to backup succesfully without any problems. I cant risk loosing my contacts again. And i want to know from others in this forum if they have faced this issue on normal backup (not overwritten on an existing backup). [URL]

Before I left, my gave my bb 8530 to a friend. When I got to Ghana, I mistakenly restored my contact list using email, so it automatically removed my friend's bbm data and now she has lost her contacts.Initially, her bbm contacts appeared on my blackberry messenger contacts so I decided to back up my files remotely. Nothing happened and I later backed up locally using my saved back up list for last month then it was restored. This morning, I got a few bbm request that were her contacts.

Apr 22, 2012I kept getting this error 21 message everytime i tried to restore my iphone 4. Everything started one morning my iphone 4 kept on vibrating and i really didnt know what to do. So I unplugged it from charger. After that the screen went blank and everytime it keeps showing it to synchronize to itunes. When I try to synchronize with itunes, Itunes is able to identify the iphone4 and wants to restore the Ios but unfortunately I keep getting this error 21. and the process keep on repeating until now. I cannot use my iphone 4 anymore.
