BB Storm 9500 :: Message Icon But No Message?
Apr 7, 2010I am showing a message icon on my screen, but there are no "new" messages to be found? Any suggestions?

BB Storm :: 9500 - Message Icon With Red Asterisk Appeared On Screen
May 24, 2011About 24 hours ago, a message icon appeared on my Storm after receiving a phone call. It still is there, right under the date, and it has a red asterisk on it. Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.

Aug 20, 2010I use my BB for personal use only. The email account I have registered on the phone is my gmail account. Just today, I noticed I can no longer send (compose new or reply) emails using this account on my phone. I get the following message in the email I attempt to send:
message status message included an invalid address
I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.

Feb 3, 2010I noticed last night that there is a number 2 with a circle to the right of it and in the circle is a downward pointing arrow and a red dot at the top of the arrrow. This is in the sport where you would see if you have voicemail right under day and date.Has anyone seen this? I have had my phone over a month and this is the first time I have seen this.BTW, I checked and there were no voice mails.

Jan 1, 2010I am having the same issues as a lot of you where i am unable to use my camera, when I try to open it I get the following error message 'Could not start the camera. Close other apps and try opening the camera again'. I have closed apps, rebooted the phone and all to no avail. Jun 9, 2010The new message indicator on my phone is always showing on my GMail account even when there are no new messages when I unlock my phone. However, if I open the email account (and find no new messages), and then close it to go back to the home screen, magically the icon has disappeared. A fix, right? Except when I relock the phone, the same issue keeps recurring.Battery pulls and restoring the OS does not help.

So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. Jul 18, 2010I downloaded an application through it and after that it asked me if i wanted to update my AppWorld. And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. Jun 14, 2010I have an unlocked storm and use tmobile as my carrier. Two weeks ago I found that my browser icon had disappeared. I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

Apr 10, 2010I just got my phone yesteday and I started downloading apps. I woke up this morning and the App World icon is gone. I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.
