I noticed last night that there is a number 2 with a circle to the right of it and in the circle is a downward pointing arrow and a red dot at the top of the arrrow. This is in the sport where you would see if you have voicemail right under day and date.Has anyone seen this? I have had my phone over a month and this is the first time I have seen this.BTW, I checked and there were no voice mails.
View 4 RepliesI have a Storm 9530. I have 3G coverage in my area, but my network connection icon says 1XEV. I have a friend with a Storm 2 whose icon shows 3G. We have tried downloading the same web page at the same time and my download actually seemed a bit faster. Does anyone know why my icon does not show 3G?

Just got browser, etc. Trying to set up my bb email/set my yahoo email on my bb. I read the bb email basics writeup, said you have to do it on your bb browser to set it up first. Went to the at&t page, then it said to do the options-adv options-host routing table-register now. Did this several times, nothing happens, still can't get on the at&t email page.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use my BB for personal use only. The email account I have registered on the phone is my gmail account. Just today, I noticed I can no longer send (compose new or reply) emails using this account on my phone. I get the following message in the email I attempt to send:
message status message included an invalid address
I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.
I am showing a message icon on my screen, but there are no "new" messages to be found? Any suggestions?

Close other apps and try opening the camera again'. I have closed apps, rebooted the phone and all to no avail. However, if I open the email account (and find no new messages), and then close it to go back to the home screen, magically the icon has disappeared. A fix, right? Except when I relock the phone, the same issue keeps recurring.Battery pulls and restoring the OS does not help.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAbout 24 hours ago, a message icon appeared on my Storm after receiving a phone call. It still is there, right under the date, and it has a red asterisk on it. Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.

So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.
I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

I have no problems doing the manual activation to allow me to make and receive calls. However, I cannot register my phone to get my data usage set up. After hours of troubleshooting over the phone with Verizon, they've some up with the conclusion that I have to be in the US, and on the Verizon network to register the phone. I have always been on the global data plan. So, basically right now I'm with a smartphone that has zero smartphone capabilities. is another way to get this phone activated.

This happens after its been on the charger all night. The only way to fix it is to use quickpull. Which i have set to re-boot everyday at 5am.. Could my battery be going bad or what?

I backed up the old phone and restored it backup on the new one, but all my third party apps are gone (Telus told me that they should transfer, but I was skeptical). Is there anyway to get these back without having to re-download them all? There's two or three that I actually paid for... it would suck to have to re-buy them!
I'm looking at BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and there's an option to import 3rd party apps from the old phone to the new one, but you need to have both phones at the same time I think. Not too handy!
