IPhone 5s :: How To Get Calendar Appointments Shown On Front Page
Jun 25, 2014
I have had Iphone for the last 2 years, and what is anoying me is that I can't get my upcomming calender appointments shown on my front page or locked screen.
Once I updated my IPhone to the latest OS 5.1, I noticed the keyboard shown at search Page is now shown at all pages which means I can't use the application in the lower half of the page. I have to lock and unlock to remove the keyboard!!!
Ive purchased a brand new BB Torch and i would like to change the way the date of my appointments are shown on the screen. Today, its shown like: MM/DD/YY and i need DD/MM/YY.
Personal Hotspot is now on the front page of Settings AND in Network in General. I want it to be gone from the front page of Settings and just be in Network in General. How do I do that?
It seems iphone's calendar automatically deletes past appointments. It won't even let me make an appointment for something that happened in the past. I need to reference old appointments though so is there some way to make the iphone save old appointments or at least ask me? It has nothing to do with syncing to my computer as I rarely do that. This is really annoying. My old Palm would save everything and it was great since I could go back and see the last time I went to the dentist, etc.
I have a Verizon iPhone 4s running IOS 5.1.1 (9B206) managed by Mobile Iron and synchronizing with an Exchange Server 2007 SP3. It appears that certain calendar entries, which are present when viewed in Outlook, are not synching over to the iPhone. The only pattern I have been able to establish is that most of the appointments in question are calendar invites from other parties. The interesting thing is that the majority of appointments that are invites from other parties synchronize over to the iPhone fine, and I have worked through a number of test scenarios, but can't seem to pinpoint the cause of the issue. I have read through a number of threads and it seems that this has affected others as well, but no proposed solutions I have tried thus far seem to fix the issue.
I have a reoccurring problem with appointments that are set in Outlook that will appear immediately on my iPhone calendar, but when I check back later sometimes the event has been deleted from my iPhone calendar but not from my Outlook calendar. It's driving me mad. Some of the times it does this is when I send an invite through outlook for an event to another user. The event will appear on my iPhone calendar but once the other person accepts my event invitation it will disappear from my iPhone calendar, but remain on my Outlook calendar. It doesn't do this everytime, but seems to be when I notice this happening the most.
On my phone settings I have the outlook calendar set as my default calendar. My iPhone is also synched with two gmail accounts a Hotmail and an icloud account. The only calendars I actually use however are my Outlook and the the iPhone calendar.
Inputing calendar appointments on my iphone and they do not show up on my exchange server calendar. This operation was previously working before IOS5 update.
I set up the VPN and synch the calendar with our company's Exchange server. I have no information about the Exchange server, and no way to make or suggest any changes to it. In short, the company has blackberries tied to the server, and doesn't want to support employees using iphones to get email and calendar info.
Even so, the sync was working; I checked that it synced in both directions - appointments entered in exchange came to my phone, and appointments entered on my phone got added to the Exchange calendar. I set the calendar to have yellow dots next to the appointments to tell them from my personal appointments. Then today I turned on the VPN, opened the calendar, and all my new appointments I had entered on my phone throughout the day were deleted. Appointments that show up are now marked blue, and all my yellow appointments are gone.
Since I don't use iCloud and hadn't plugged into iTunes, I'm assuming those appointments are irretrieveably lost Did the admin change the Exchange server or did I somehow mess up by assigning a color to the calendar other than the default?
The sync process between iPhone and Outlook 2003 does not add new appointments entered in Outlook to transfer to iPhone. I have tried all the steps in Apple Support including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I have checked the boxes in iTunes - Device - Info - Advanced to "Replace information on this iPhone" "Calendars". Still no luck???
Synchronized my calendar with Google calendar on Friday and it seemed to be working fine. however it would only show the events for that week and so even on Sunday it wasn't showing this week's events.
I noticed last night that there is a number 2 with a circle to the right of it and in the circle is a downward pointing arrow and a red dot at the top of the arrrow. This is in the sport where you would see if you have voicemail right under day and date.Has anyone seen this? I have had my phone over a month and this is the first time I have seen this.BTW, I checked and there were no voice mails.
I synced my phone with my work calendar and since then the phone likes to wake me up extra early with reminders about things happening that day. This is driving me crazy - How do I get rid of all the appointments?I've tried options/ delete - but it will only let me delete the ones in the past.I've tried changing the date on the phone and deleting them - and it says it's done it but the appointments are still there.
am having problem getting onto faebook through email am getting the gift from facebook but don't get the chit chat on the front page of facebook through my email.
I tried to delete a few recurring appointments from my calendar. When I view my calendar the appointments still appear. I attempt to try and delete the appointments again and I receive the following message:
Appointment deleted externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed.Does anyone know how I can delete my appointments and not have them appear? In some cases, the same appointment is listed twice.
I have lost the ability to send calendar appointments to other users? I am able to receive them and accept/decline etc, however all they get from me is a word type document?
I just noticed in my Blackberry that all my appointments are purging out for the previous month. This is a very serious situation because I need to refer back to my calendar and look at past appointments. I checked my sync settings and I have it set that my phone overrides my Outlook calendar and on my phone I have it set to save appointments forever.
Had my torch for a week now, all works great except I get no reminders at all from the calendar for appointments, no pop up on screen, no tones or vibrates. If I set a reminder alarm then that works, so does the alarm clock in the morning and all of my message alerts, phone, text, e-mail etc, but nothing from the calendar appointments.
Using the search function I am not able to search the calendar for appointments. For example, I see, on my calendar, that it says "Soni birthday" for May 23. However, I could not enter "Soni" in the search function, select calendar, and find the date of her birthday. Same for all appointments, recurring and single entries.
I have setup the desktop software to have 2-way synch between Outlook and the Calendar. if I add an entry in Outlook, it appears on the device, and if I edit an existing entry on the device, the change appears in Outlook. These calendar entries appear in a calendar called 'Default'. There is also another calendar called 'Desktop' which has a CICAL service book associated to it, but there is no CICAL for the 'default' calendar.
If I add a new appointment on the device, it will only allow it to be added to the 'Desktop' calendar, but since this is not the one that is being synchronised with Outlook, the appointment does not get transferred to Outlook.
I do not want to change to wireless sysnchronisation since this does not seem to work for my default Outlook calendar which is in my local pst file rather than on the exchange server account.
