OkI have the first version of the storm and there is a delay when the phone is upright then i turn it to the side to reply or send a text sometimes it wont do anything. I heard there is some update to fix this??? how do I go about fixing it?
View 7 RepliesI'm sure someone else has had this same problem. when I am texting the same person continuously for a while at times I can not open the message on the screen unless I restart my BB or compose a new message to the same person.

At the same time Verizon dropped Yahoo as their e-mail server.I went into BIS and made the incoming and outgoing changes. It took and I resent a service book.I haven't been able to receive e-mail since. I can send e-mail but not receive.I've done a wipe and everything else I can think of. Any ideas?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Gmail. I recently updated to 5.0.0.328. I can receive emails just fine. However, I can only send emails to contacts with a saved email address or reply to emails that have come to my inbox. for example, I receive an email from a friend, I can reply just fine. If I type that email in the "To" field, the envelope icon to send the message is grayed out. I resent service books, per another thread, but to no avail.

View 6 Replies View Relatedalright so i have threaded messaging on my storm 9530 and i was looking at one of my txt convos and scrolling up and it was getting kind of complicated cause i was trying to access a message from about two weeks ago but i txt so much after about 5 minutes i was only up to maybe 3 days ago. Is there a way i can organize my txts like bbm has it where its in a folder marked person and followed by date ? this would make my life so much easier.

I noticed that now when I SMS, bbm, or even typing here it is giving like a predictive text list, I don't like this can it be turned off. I have auto correct turned off and also auto text turned off, but yet it still shows up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have text conversations I seem to lose app memory faster resulting in the Storm becoming very sluggish and inoperable, only remedied by a battery pull. Is it the texting application that is the source of the memory leak or is the leak somewhere else only sped up with all the back and forth texting?

O yeah let me add also that it seems when I have BBM conversations as well app memory drains. Am I dealing with a memory leak or many memory leaks? Or is the phone just underpowered for all this?
I had a question about the 9500. Im currently using the 9530 from verizon and was thinking about selling it and getting a 9500 cuz i have t-mobile and im tired of the EDGE/edge problem.....I was just curious if any of you happen to know if the 9500 has the EDGE/edge problem that the 9530 has with T-Mobile.

I called Verizon and after an hour long conversation they couldn't figure out my problem, so I hope I will have better luck with y'all.When I go to Setup-Email Settings
My listed email accounts include my Gmail account, but the text is red and it says "Invalid Account. Please Validate" So I click on it, type my password, and it says "Your xxxx@gmail.com password is invalid. Please try again"If I go to the mobile site or go to gmail on my PC I enter the same password and it works flawlessly. It was working fine on my old Storm. I'm not having any other issues with email or data. I am getting my comcast email that I had no issues setting up. I have tried deleting the gmail account and re-adding it. What could be the issue?On a related note, when I first click "Setup" and then "Email Settings" it wants me to log in to the BIS. It has never prompted me to do that until I got this phone.
What I did wrong don't know. All I know is that I have no OS on my phone. How can I repair this. Have no backup. My computer went dead as well.

So when I get a text now 2 icons pop up (SMS and crunchSMS) and I have to go to both to stop my phone from blinking. Is there a way to make the default stop showing up as a new message and a blinking light?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract.My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.

I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!
I keep trying and can't install .JAD apps onto my Storm and get a message saying something like that kind of file cannot be installed. It's Quickpull that I'm trying to install but this is happening with all the .JAD apps. BBSlider and Google maps which are both .COD files installed fine.

The phone is not on mute and the volume dial is properly adjusted.Also, the voice recognition software stopped working just before this problem came up. Both problems now are present together.

The phone dial pad on my Storm 9530 suddenly stopped working. All of the 12 buttons are shown on the screen, but buttons 1 through 9 and * and # do not work when they are selected and pressed down.The "0+" key still works and shows the 0 in the number display when selected and pressed down.
