Jul 9, 2010I woke up yesterday to find my 3GS (with iOS4) was displaying the 'Connect to iTunes' message for no apparent reason. After connecting it to iTunes, a message popped up in iTunes saying I had to enter a password on the iPhone in order to access it, which I couldn't do as the Phone was showing the 'Connect to iTunes' message. After looking through several Apple help articles I put the iPhone into recovery mode in order to try to restore it. However, every time the progress bar on the iPhone screen hangs just before finishing, and iTunes says there was an error ( Error 1002 ). I have tried the restore numerous times now with the same results, and have tried all the solutions in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1275 At the moment I am left with an iPhone that I cannot use. Also, This phone was and has never been jailbroken

Apr 2, 2012I had my iphone 3gs on charge and it turnd off and went to the screen were u see the usb and iTunes logo to connect it. so i connect it to my laptop and it says thta it needs to be restored so i click on restore and it makes me download a large file. then it says its starting to restore, all goes well untill half way done and then i eather get an error message ( 14 ) or error message ( 9 ) i have tryd three diffrent laptops and 5 diffrent connection leads, and yet still getting the same error on all of them.

Apr 22, 2012I kept getting this error 21 message everytime i tried to restore my iphone 4. Everything started one morning my iphone 4 kept on vibrating and i really didnt know what to do. So I unplugged it from charger. After that the screen went blank and everytime it keeps showing it to synchronize to itunes. When I try to synchronize with itunes, Itunes is able to identify the iphone4 and wants to restore the Ios but unfortunately I keep getting this error 21. and the process keep on repeating until now. I cannot use my iphone 4 anymore.

Sep 16, 2010I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.

May 25, 2010I was updating to newest beta frimware and during the restore I got this error "Iphone can not be restored an unknown error occurred (37)." I tried to give the phone a hard reset but I have not been able to get the phone to respond. I also tried the same steps used to put the phone into DFU mode to see if it would restart and no change. I am not really sure what to do here, any tips would help.

Jun 19, 2014So I saw I had an update the other night so I decided to download it. After I thought it was through, I check my phone and it says plug into iTunes. I didn't think anything of it so I plug it in. An alert saying my iPhone is in recovery mode. So I do the whole restore thing and it doesn't work. It gets about 3/4 of the way done then says error 29. I have tried it many times, as well as updating my iTunes and different cables even restarting my computer. Is there anything else that I can do?
