My phone just wont connect to desktop, I have the phone registered wiith it, and it shows up the name of my phone and that its connecting, but that stays on forever and doesnt actually connect..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble connecting/syncing my Blackberry 9360 with the desktop software. After I select my phone from the list of devices an attempt is made to install all the needed drivers. 2 of 3 install automatically. The 3rd is 'not found'. I would imagine this is the problem. So far I have researched and attempted every possible fix I could find on the Internet, including manually selecting drivers as directed.Without this driver the desktop program does NOT SEE my device. Even so, I AM connected with my computer via bluetooth. I can force files to be be sent and/or received between my phone and computer but would really like the automatic ability to have everything synced without the need to plug in a cable.

I clicked yes, then it started the first stage of updating and it has frozen backing up 'Database: Options (3 of 21 items)'
Is there a way to unfreeze it or would it be safe to eject my phone and try again?
My daughters phone used to connect as USB and you could see her phone from the computer (iMac, Windows). Now when she chooses USB it does not prompt for password, and only connects for charging as if she chose Charge Only.
I don't think it's the computer, same effect on our iMac and 2 Windows computers. Is there a setting in her phone which needs to be changed, or some software update (it seems to be fully updated)
i'm using a school wifi... checked all the settings （security type, ca certificate and all that) and made sure it matched... it still tells me "failed to connect to the network" or "failed to authenticate agaisnt the network" every single time!

-I went to Manage Connections
-I went to Wi-Fi Network
-My network at home, which is my saved network, shows up and I click on it
-instead of asking for a passcode even though it shows that my home internet is locked, it immediately starts trying to connect to my internet, and then says "Failed to authenticate against the network"
Since this happens ALL THE TIME, I went to "other ways to connect", then "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" and I see that the two options are "Press button on router" or "Enter PIN into router."So I clicked the first choice and it tells me to press the Wi-Fi Protected Setup button on my wireless router or its administration screen. That will probably get my internet working on my Blackberry?
My new Curve 9360 sees the wifi network at home but will not connect. Other devices connect just fine, but not my phone.

Because before that it worked very fine.I tried to change the configuration on the desktop manager but it didn't work out. My computer doesn't recognize my phone as an usb device either.

I was told that if I do a master reset to remove the data on the phone and try to restore again I may not be able to restore everything I have alrady backed up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the desktop software on my 64-bit Win7 Home Premium PC in my administrator user account and made changes to the setup (e.g. deleting languages and AOL and messenger apps) then exited and switched to my normal user account to get into contacts and calendar setup, since I use Outlook in the normal user account. The details of my new BB showed up greyed out but 'connecting' went on for ever and I had to use Task Manager to close it down. I guess I have to start all over again and do all the business in the normal user account so is there a reset?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have set a password on my 8250 which locks and unlocks it. However when I connect to my computer Blackberry desktop asks me to input a password. When I input the password set for the 8250 it will not allow connection to desktop. I have never set a password in 'Desktop' and have even tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it but each time I attempt to connect it rejects the link. Any ideas as to where I can get hold of guidance on how to get past this problem as it is preventing me from using the Blackberry fully?

This causes backup to run every time I connect instead of weekly like I have it setup. If I do a manual sync the date updates but if I do a manual backup the date stays unchanged. I'm running desktop 6.0.0.43 and OS 5.0.0.886. Does anyone know how to cure this problem?

I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I have been using for about 8 months.
I generally sync it about once per day with Microsoft Outlook using the Desktop Manager through a USB connection.Today it would not sync!The PC recognized that I had plugged it in so I am assuming the USB cable is OK.The bar on top of the Desktop manager shows "Disconnected" and the bottom left corner of the Desktop Manager shows my connection as "none"If I try to sync it, a Device Connection box opens up asking for the PIN but does not allow me to type anything into the box.
I have rebooted both the Blackberry and PC a few times to see if this would solve my problem - did not work.
I have also tried other USB connections on my PC.
I have not loaded any new software onto the PC recently, my antivirus program is up to date.
I have read through the help files and cannot find anyway to get it to reconnect.
What do I have to do to get Connected? Do I have to reload the Desktop Manager software or ?
I am trying to sync my BB with my desktop software. I was advised the only way i could get music on my BB was to take the memory card out the phone use an adapter to put music on then put the memory card back in BB.
Surely when i connect my BB to my laptop with the desktop software on it, i should be able to see the music and pictures that are on my phone, or should i not??
I have gone into the options menu on the screen and had a look at my memory, and it is telling me "Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is properly inserted, formatted and not corrupted".
I have also made sure that Mass Storage support is on, along with Media Card Support, but i still cant see anything.
